    At Oshkosh in 2003, I question its airworthiness now!

    When talking to ne of the engineers at Fantasy Of Flight a couple of years back i was led to belive that it was no longer airworthy due to some delamination in the wing, this being caused by the climate that it had been stored in, ie it had got to hot and dry and the moisture content allowed to get to low!!

    You won’t get very far with the CAA on your tod, just look at the situation in getting Austers off CofA and onto PFA Permits. 1. Rules are rules and 2. it has always been so so the Authority in doing its business will be reluctant to budge unless a higher authority changes the rules.

    I did flag up the PTF issue on another group last month and wonder…

    I think you will find that the CAA are very keen to get Austers off of a CofA and onto the PFA, it is bizzarly some of the Auster owners who are resisting the change :confused:

    Part time wingwalker Tanya Gaze has been around the team a few years, I’m sure since the Crunchie days?.
    She is now a barrister and has her own band.
    I look forward to the revamped team in 07, but shall miss Lucy and Sarah.

    The pic posted earlier is of “Tinks” on top of Crunchie Sponsored Stearman, She also poped up to see us at Sywell atop of the same A/C in UBB colours and im sure she will be abour next year too, well hopefully she will anyway 🙂

    The girls change every year and have done all the time with St ivel, its part of the PR to recrute new girls each year. What generaly happens is that the old girls come back as part timers and fill in where they can.

    Yup two new ladies so I hear. I guess the new red and white paint means a recover? Let’s hope the new flying jumpsuits are equally as sexy! yum yum
