You’ll probably have more luck here: http://www.luftwaffe-experten.org/forums/
But you’re in luck as I have a book on the Do 217 and I literally opened it at the page dealing with the torpedo carrying role! In summary plenty of trials with torpedoes were carried out on the Do 217 E, K and M and the “R4” equipment pack was developed consisting of an PVC 1006B rack to carry an F5 torpedo, or (LM)A mine, in the bomb bay. Two more torpedoes could be carried under the inner wing sections (and in trials up to 5 torpedoes were used). Although the Do 217 performed quite well, the RLM however didn’t approve the Do 217 torpedo bomber because the Ju 88 was fulfilling the torpedo role already and the Do 217 was needed more urgently to deliver guided weapons instead as well as for mine laying. Plans were also hampered by equipment shortages with Do 217 units.

Absolutely amazing. I couldn’t imagine the adrenaline rush this should give. But the dangers are obvious and there comes a day when at a critical moment you have to sneeze a couple of times…
Too easy. I should’ve cropped to a rivet! ๐

Over to you.
LOL! ๐
For some time I had been toying with the idea of posting a tiny Spitfire detail!
Here’s another in a similar style! :diablo:
Spitfire.
Mk IIa P7350 by any chance? ๐
LOL ๐
It’s its Swiss brother, Hรคfeli DH-1.
Beautiful replica: http://www.wwi-models.org/Photos/Swiss/HafeliDH1/index.html
I wouldn’t have known without Eric’s close guess and since I’m a bit busy working now: open house!
L4x2, did you run out of obscure gliders? ๐
Anthony in the cockpit didn’t help your cause! ๐
Doh! 3 minutes… I will hide in shame! ๐ฎ
It’s the DL-100 prototype indeed. Not sure how well-known this one is, but I was under the impression it doesn’t seem to have gotten a lot of exposure. I’m evidently wrong.
Sorry, can’t hear you! ๐
Must’ve been interesting to fly…
Okay, now for something completely different! ๐ฎ
I fondly remember the spirited displays in the Spitfire V he used to give. RIP and my condoleances to his family and friends.

Over to you!
Today’s hint: it’s German.
I was glad you found that Gotha, as it was really bugging me. I knew I knew it, but couldn’t remember! Enjoy your break!
Okay here’s a tricky one. Sorry for the small photo – all I have.
