Some folks even try to find some using Google-Earth.

I have spend plenty of time glaring at G-Earth….resolution is too low for most Russian forrests.

However, it is very useful for scanning small airstrips and such.

It will not be the last.

The forrests of Russia are immense and the number of lost WWII aircraft is staggering.

immense + staggering = aircraft…..

Fanciful solution: glide across in a modern airship equipped with a metal detector…

The aircraft in Keflavík terminal is TF-OGN; an Icelandic design from 1932 by Olsen-Jonasson.

Looks like it, but the indentation behind the engine cowling is unlike any B2 i have seen. Just now looked at some pictures and they are all with a triple type indentation.

I know its all down to personal taste, but surprised the Overstrand has come up twice, I regard it as one of those graceful classics from 20/30s RAF period, Sidestrand slightly prettier again.

How can you be surprised? 😀

I find the Beriev VVA-14 stunningly beautiful….not even kidding.

(although its slightly more phallic that aircraft should be)

That is not the AS39 Mondariz, that is the GAL38, built to the same specification. Sorry for being a gedantic pit.

If not pedantic here, then where?

I just had a picture that said Fleet Shadowe, was not aware they had made MORE!

Its still pretty ugly…
