Biafran Air Force Saab MFIs 😎
MiG-23 with MiG-21 radar are MiG-23MS “Flogger E”. Maybe Sudan used some of them, but as far as I remember, they had mainly MiG-23 BN “Flogger H” as “mud movers” and MiG-23 MF / ML “Flogger B / G” as air defense asssets. They were still operational during the fightings against John Garangs’ troops in south Sudan
Accoding to World Defence Almanac they are down to just 2 machines. I believe they were gifted a small number rom Libya.
Left : two MiG-21 Fishbed and one MiG-17 Fresco – Right : four MiG-23 Flogger. No Fantan at all
Are those Floggers operational? As far as I know they are more or less the entire inventory. Ex Libyan if I remember correctly. With Mig 21 radars. Is the version MS?
Another pic of Eq G Su 25 (the same bird?) From the same album?
I recon this to be an Equatorial Guinea Su 25?
Joint exercise?
I came across this pic of a Kenyan Tucano, note the Zimbabwean Hawk in the background!
Moderators!
This forum should be about military aviation. Posts about who is right/wrong in the middle east do not belong here.
The conflict did by the way start long before man took to the skies.
Nosy Gripen
A JAS 39 D Gripen made an emergency landing today at F 17, Kallinge. The Blekinge Flygflottilj.

Alas, I must admit that I agree as well, though I’m the perpetrator! But I wasn’t sure where else to post it, and I knew those who visited this forum would have intelligent and informed perspectives I could get noplace else. Perhaps I should start such a thread for pre-modern military aviation in the historical section?
I think you should! I for one, would be a frequent visitor.
I do not want to be rude but I think posts about WW2 should be in another thread. Especially when illustrated by plastic models.
The model certainly looks nice and the “Fries Deutschland” story seems to be fascinating but it should not be posted in this forum.
Levsha!
That was the best link ever!

What does this rubbish have to do with possible future air wars?
110 T 72s is a massive force by african standards. There are quite a few European nations that have far less tanks.
Scrap value or not. If they work, such a force will change the powerbalance in the region.
1995 Belarus has 13 MiG-25 in Service. Since 2000 is MiG-25 out of service.
look here
Any recent evidence of operational Belarussian Floggers? According to that link they´re expected to serve until 2015. Sounds very doubtful.
Considering the latest cuts I doubt the Swedish airforce will be able to upgrade anything….
