There is no room to use a disc cutter in there, and if you could the mounting within the fuselage is made of one inch thick steel plate.

The pole is held to the mounting with a steel pin and that is sleeved. If when knocking the pin out you don’t get the aircraft ballance right the sleeve starts to come out as well and there isn’t enough room for both.

Apart from that she should come off the pole quite easily and if I remember correctly we didn’t put the wing bolts in only the sleeves.

I think it’s WV495 as I have a note of it wearing this code plus it was exported to the US many years ago. I need to check my pictures from many years ago to confirm this.

EA3 is the SBAC code for Canberra B.2.

This doesn’t mean that it is from a B.2 as this item could have been used in any mark of Canberra

The fuselage build plate is located within the cockpit. It is located on the side by your right knee if you sit in the cockpit.

If indeed you have VV211 the build number on this plate will be EEP424**.

English Electric used the fuselage build number as the aircrafts construction number.

If it turns out to be an Indian built Vampire it will have the prefix HAL

May I suggest that to save the guy you get to move the Hunter time, which in turn will save you money, is to get some WD40 and spray the screws that hold down the panels arround the wing roots.

Remove thies panels by either unscrewing or drilling out the screws and spray the wing bolts with plenty of WD40.

Also spray the blanks and remove ready to take the wing and fuselage lifting slings. There are 3 in the wings and 4 in the fuselage.

I hope the move goes well.
