From my notes I have the long spiggot (LG) is for fixed mounts only while short spiggot (SG) for retractable mountings only.

Here is a picture of my Mk 1.
I got it from Australia.
I was told and I’m not sure if it was true or not, is that all the Mk 1 were tested in Australia to stop any falling into enemy hands

Midlands Counties Aviation Society did a monograph back in April 1975 called Cadet Corp Airframes.
It was a B5 publication with 12 pages.
It was compiled by Roy Bonser.
There was an updates to this, and was published in their magazine Air-Strip.
