The 52B & C, the Yuan, The 039A SSKs. It does seem China’s Navy has many new toys since Hu Jin Tao announced the need to modernized the Navy. I personally do not really care if China is considered a maritime power or not. It just fun seeing new subs and destroyers.

Anyone know of the main air defence systems and missiles that defend HOng Kong and Macau?

    Macau Defense= Mob Guys

Hong Kong Defense= Wong Jing Films. When Hong Hong is attacked, they will just open up a Wong Jing Film Festival. That should repel missiles, submarines, sukhois, Girls, Asteroids, Dinosaurs…just about anything that’s moving.

Couldn’t it be possible that both designs came from the same idea? After all, both seem to be twin engine derivitive of the Mig 21. Why does one have to be a copy of the other?

Well Crobato, at least we agree about this.
I was surprised to see your post because that’s just the opposite of what you said earlier (-:

How is that the complete opposite of what he said? You claim the J10B has the similar spline to the F-16D. I don’t see it.

Taiwan and South Korea are the two biggest investors in Vietnam. The government there is very corrupt as we all know. Money runs the government in Vietnam. So if there are any military purchases. And if Russia can not meet Vietnam’s need. I would say The Koreans or Taiwanese will win the next contract. I would go for the IDF fighter. It’s a great BVR fighter that’s very underated by people here.

Here is something I found interesting. This was a news report done on Feb 25th. The last day of the excercise at Cope India 2004.

    http://www.af.mil/stories/story.asp?storyID=123007060

If you read through the report you will see US pilots, technicians, and serviceman talking about Hindu weddings, the Taj Mahal, and shopping and other experiences in India. If this was the last day where they supposedly got their ass kicked by the Indian pilots. Why did they take it so lightly?

I don’t doubt Indian pilots could beat their US counter-parts. But I think people are buying a little too much into an excercise where 6 F-15s and 1 tanker was used.

Not to take anything away from the Indian pilots. But I remember someone here posted a story about Cope India a while back. The US pilots had 4 F-15C defending an airspace, and the Indians came after them with squadrons of Su-30s, Mig-21s, and Mirages. Was there any actual dogfight situation that happened? Sorry, I don’t remember who posted the story.

I would agree with Deino, if this was the same engines used on the Su-27, why change nozzles in the middle of productions? It has to be a new engine.

    Nice pic HT.

I don’t see any fencing around that landing area, so I’m guessing that’s not a secret airbase the A-50I is landing in?

Phantom, yeah I was a loser too. I spent much of my life in front of the TV after school.

I remember Transfomers, Go Bots, GI Joe, Masters of the Universe (I remember seeing the Sorceress always made me extra happy, when I was a kid).

Anyway, was anyone here rich enough to afford Omega Supreme? He was the entire Kennedy space launch pad wasn’t he?

    Are they called shurikens? 🙂

Good question. And what about the little round smoke balls. You know the ones that you throw on the ground, smoke billows up. And when the smoke clears, the ninja is gone. The Ninja was the original stealth.
