it is simply idiotic to brand an entire people or religion based on the moranic and barbaric acts of a few murderous scum.
if some people would do less condeming and more listening/reading, then maybe they would see the truth, which is that the vast majority of muslims are actually quite peacelving, and it is only a very small minority of extremists that do most of the violent acts. (does anyone honestly believe that the world would see so few attrocities if even a small fraction of the 1billion+ muslims in the world were as some here have described? :rolleyes: )
as for texts on ‘Christians and Jews and others and the essential message is if you can’t convert them to Islam, then kill them. Many of the officials of Islam preach violence on a daily basis. Facts are facts.’
well since you dont speak arabic, then those texts must have been translations. and need i point out what kind of texts would be considered worth translating into english for western consumption? :rolleyes:
also, the existance of such texts cant really be that suprising to anyone with some basic history knowledge. ever heard of a ‘little’ event call the crusade? do the slightest bit of research and you will see that some of the things those crusaders did were far worse then what ‘outraged’ you. :rolleyes:
fair enough its been a very long time, but its hard to move on when you have suffered such injustice, especially when there have never been any attempt at reconsiliation on the part of the west to try and heal those old scares, and people have a tendency to be unforgiving and unforgetful of such things.
