anyhow, lets try and get back on topic.

im juts wondering why the missile is not incorporating a more modern design with stealth features, wouldnt that help to increase its success rate as the missile is passively guided, so the short the detection time, the better the chances of a kill?

of course not, but the AWACS can try to make the missile’s life more difficult by manovering. what have they got to loose?

look, im not trying to say that E3s can manover like fighters, but it wont be as lumbering as u might think.

in regards to weight, with all the equipment being added (minus the radom and supports) , we’ll just say that the weight of 200 passengers and their baggage is reduced from the weight of the jet if it was fully loaded.

lets say that each passenger averaged out at 80kg and weighed 100kg with baggage, 200 passengers means 20 tons, surely no radom and supprot can weight that much!
