when did i say that?:confused:

“MKI radar can look further and can engage more targets simultaneosly but it is limited to capabilities of R-77 range. Where only two can be updated with data links simulaneously and that is what the current capabilities of MKK radar is. “

there are greater advantages to longer radar range, for example, if u see the other guy first, u can position urself better for a kill (to the side or even behind the other guy where his radar doesnt have good coverage.).

however, i would doubt that such advantages would be that profound in a real war situation when both sides have AWACS and dozens of a/c airborn at the same time. still an advanatge is an advantage, whether its worth the extra cost and time delay is another matter.

just known or agreed to?

also, why do u think that the twin seaters wont be considered? is it because of the JH7A?

personaly, i think the JH7As will form a very important part of the PLAAF/PLANAF strick force, however i feel that some roles the JH7 just cant perform as well as (maybe not at all) as the MKK. (thinking more of ground attack as opposed to antishipping). so it would be a good idea to have a few more MKKs (especially at much lower costs if produced domestically), also as the PLA flanker fleet increases in size, more twin trainers may be needed. these two needs added together should mroe then justify the PLA wanting a twin seater J11 line.

Supply problems were their biggest problem – sometimes they had plenty of ammo but only a few guns, other times it was the other way round. When they had plenty of both it was almost certain that it was the wrong ammo for the guns they had. Any wonder that arms dealers love civil wars when the side with the money is lead by the clueless?”

u’d expect the armed forces of the worlds fourth biggest economy and former world superpower to do a little better wouldnt u?:rolleyes:
