Ok the subformums are gone,we cant do anything about it.
However i do not understand why the webmasters didnt give like a 2-3 days notice so we can save the photos and text that was interesting to us
You can do something about it!
Send an email of complaint to the webmaster (he did say people can do that and he was listening), when his in box jams up with messages from dissgruntled members he might get the idea! :dev2:
I will be interested to see how Ja Worsley reacts to this development.
I presume the F3s being broken up are being canablised to keep the remaining ones in service.
A hornet has landed on the De Gaulle recently and I believe the Rafale has done touch and goes on an American carrier.
Guess i have to take one more opportunity to advertise Defencetalk and Sinodefenceforum to all who is still intressed to discuss naval/army matters and chinese issues.
But for my behalv, this is propaply goodbye, see you on other arenas 😉
See you mate 🙁
Maybe if they realise their mistake it will only be tempory! 😀
Up till today we had a happy informative forum where members even made personal threads to say Happy Birthday to each other. All harmless fun…
Now the loyal members get a kick in the teeth for no reasonable reason. 😡
All
There were several factors involved in closing down the two fora including the flak we used to get. However feel free to contact me or post any issues you have on this thread however keep it civil. I will be listening!
WB
WELL LISTEN TO US BY SWITCHING OUR THREADS BACK ON!!! 😡
Oh this just caps a bad day!
My car window gets chipped this morning, my employer makes a mistake with my employment documentation which took hours to sort out and now the excelllent navy thread gets axed!
I didn’t spend much time in the army thread but I can say that the navy thread was probably the best on the Internet. I had some lovely imformative debates about all things naval. I learnt things and others learnt from me, I used check every day for a new pic of a new chinese ship or carrier. Many things that are discussed in the navy thread (and Im sure the army thread) ARE DIRECTLY related to aviation matters like carriers and attack helicopters.
This sucks. I will be expressing my disgust via email to whoever runs the forum. This is the sort of thing that kills off good forums.
Im sure I will be joining the flood of people protesting this stupid decision!
As far as I am aware Iranian armed forces didn’t like the Cobra prototype with flat windscreens (something to do with poor visibility and glare) and didn’t go further with it.
I believe the airframe that did go through the conversion is now used as a test bed.
Of course there are now closer trade links between Argentiana and China:

Is it possible that this could extend to arms deals?
Whilst the Mirage 2000 is obviously high on Argentinas wish list, types like the JF17/FC1 with its western like avionics could appeal to the cash strapped argentine airforce.
It`s a fakey, MIASCB
Yeah comically fake, I found it on a chinese website and it amused me. 😀
I thought you guys would like a laugh. 😉
Possibly the Ultimate Mig 21 variant….
I present the J7 AWACS!
😀
Yes this isn’t about stealth in the UKs case, a large part of the fusulage is made in the UK. This requires an understanding of the techniques required to make this kind of aircraft structure.
For Britain access to Software codes is the major issue,if the US refuses access in theory America could refuse to allow integration of UK specific weapons.
This would clearly be unacceptable to the UK MOD so we end up with a Mexican standoff.

Rumour: PLAN will build an amphibious assault ship. 15,000- to 20,000-ton class. With 100 mm cannons and SAMs. Can operate four LCACs and heavy helicopters.
PLAN currently has 4,800-ton and 4,170-ton amphibious assault ships.Me: Snore.
I presume this is what your talking about? The image is of a concept by China National Shipbuilding Co. It has a flight deck and dock as well as a 100mm gun and HQ7 SAM.
Fedaykin:
Possibility 4:
She is being repainted and workers regularly scurry across the deck doing minor repair work here and there that will be noticed internationally but essentially confuse people, keep them guessing and second-guessing and divert attention from other projects.
The problem with that theory is the the cost of the work already done to the hull. A can’t see China spending that much money just to fool people.
If the Varyag is going to sea again I would suggest that it is at least a year probably 2 or more away, there are absolutely no sighns of any radar, weapons systems, or aircraft handling systems, it is still very likely this thing will become a tourist attraction.
Spot on Sealordlawrence, looking at what has already been done 2 years would be a realistic time scale for fitting out to service. Without any internal pictures it is virtually impossible to draw any clear conclusions.
Frankly at the moment the Tourist attraction idea is still the most reasonable.
HI
I AM NEW IN THIS FORUM BUT I WAS REALLY INTERESTED WHEN I SAW IT, I KNOW THAT THIS IS A REALLY OLD ISSUE, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU WITH SOME OF MY KNOWLEDGE.
CHEETAH, PANTERA AND KFIR COME FROM THE SAME FAMILY, IN FACT CHEETAH AND PANTERA WERE MADE AT THE SAME TIME IN ISRAEL IN DIFFERENT HANGARS AND THE PEOPLE THAT WAS THERE HAD FORBIDEN TO BE EVEN CLOSE TO ONE OR ANOTHER HANGAR, SO THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT BOTH PROGRAMS WERE IN THE SAME PLACE AND SO CLOSE.
REGARDING THE PICTURES THERE WAS AT THE BEGINING A PROTOTIPE OF THE MODIFIVCATION THAT WAS CALLED BRAGUET AND THIS IS THE ONE YOU SHOW. IT IS AN M50 MODIFIED BUT NOT AT THE LATEST CONFIGURATION CALLED PANTERA.
REGARDING THE CHEETAH C IS REALLY MUCH MODERN THAT THE E, WITH 09K50 ENGINE (E WITH 9C) AND INCLUDE RADAR WHAT WAS NOT IN THE E MODEL.
A bit of advice mate.
Switch off caps lock.
