Thanks for the reminder SeaDog.
Should be a cracking show. π
Hope to be there, just praying that the weather Gods are going to be good to Old Warden!

Very nice! π
Makes you wish…..

Ah, so that’s what my Dad saw flying quite low and reasonably fast over Haslemere this lunchtime! π
Btw, did a fast jet of some sort fly into Dunsfold the other day?
Can’t remember what day, but I heard something low, fast & noisey, but never saw it!
Cheers
Paul
Yep, much appreciated – thanks for all your hard work.

Paul
Ummm….
Another Spit for HFL perhaps?
It sure would be nice to see her back in the UK! π

Sky channel 980.
βThe Flightβ on BBC1 E Mids (Sky Ch. 980), Friday 4th May, 7:30pm β 8:00pm. We get BBC1 Yrks&Lin (Sky Ch. 977) by default β itβs been advertised on here, but when Iβve checked the listings, it only shows up on the E Mids Regional Channel.
Autoview now set! Shame it’s only on for half an hour though π
Thanks chaps.
As it was mentioned it would be on in at least three neighbouring regions, I only checked Yorks & Lincs, thinking it’s bound to be on that one, seeing as the BBMF are based in the latter county!
How wrong could I have been!

Pah, bloody regional TV! I thought there was going to be something national by the BBC for the 50th this year?
Yes, it would be nice Lancman.
However, for those who have Sky (and I assume from your post you don’t) the BBC regions are all on the EPG (they start from about 970 I think), whilst the ITV regions sadly are not on the main EPG, but can still be watched if you know how. π

The last I heard from Tom was that there is a Merlin III awaiting overhaul, but initially the aircraft will be flown with the Merlin 35.
Thanks Ed!

Thanks for the pics Tom.
Good to see AR213 on her wheels again and out in the open. π
I’m sure I heard too that the plan was to fit the siamese exhausts, external armour windscreen and a 3 bladed D.H prop (that is, if an airworthy one was sourced) etc.
As Mark V says, things have moved on as regards these items on early Spits. π
As for the engine, will it still be a Merlin 35, or has a Merlin III been sourced?

Lovely shots 558.
She looks splendid! π
Well done to all at Air Atlantique.

Paul
That is good news. π
Congrats to all involved with her.
Am I right in thinking that you said it was Cliff Spink flying her at the show?
Cheers
Paul
Look on it this way – when was the last time anyone had the chance to see an airworthy Hurricane in the green/grey camouflage scheme with the earlier fuselage roundel?
Regards,
Dan
Agreed.
That’s probably why I like it more than the old scheme! π
Great job Roobarb, and thanks for the info.
Cheers
Paul
I liked it better Black.
mick
I didn’t! :p

Thanks Mark.
She looks very nice indeed. π
I hope to see her at OW this year.
