your point being what exactly, shaun?

I don’t think there is an airline that I wouldn’t fly again… Give or take a bad meal and an hours delay i’ve always been quite lucky on the 40 plus flights i’ve taken.
Caledonian Airways (now TCX) – fine.
Ambassador Airways (gone) – fine.
Air 2000 (now FCA) – fine.
KLMcityhopperuk – fine.
Northwest Airlines – fine.
JMC Airlines (now TCX) – fine.
Britannia Airways – fine.
Ryanair – fine.
I have a really strange feeling that my first easyJet flight next month won’t be too hot though, dont ask me why – a hunch i suppose

I’ll tell you how it is; fake – very fake but cool all the same. Love the EZY319’s 😎

Off topic but did it really cost a penny to fly out of NCL LGKR?
yeah concorde, it did. the first sector cost me a penny, the second sector from dublin cost a cent and third and final sector of the day cost me minus figures – done quite well for being bored one afternoon after hearing some shocking work news!

I read this on airiners.net earlier LBA, cant say im anymore than just a tiny bit concerned – im meant to be flying a pair of 732’s on sectors towards the end of May. Couldn’t it just be totally conincidental that 2 732’s have been involved in ‘issues’ during the last couple of days or is it non-coincidental given the age of the aircraft and the high number of cycles they still operate!?

Shamrock – i believe that in ‘our’ winter aircraft which arnt being utilised by the charter operators go elsewhere in the world to cater for holidays and events relevant to different locations. MYT send alot of aircraft to the middle east to operate Hajj (spelling!?) flights and the likes of FCA and TCX send aircraft to North America to operate charters there. Likewise with the canadian charters like Skyservice – MYT get some of their aircraft to operate from the UK when demand is greater…

I’ve three flights booked for the back-end of May:
Newcastle to Dublin with Ryanair,
Dublin to Bristol with Ryanair,
Bristol to Newcastle with easyJet.
… the three cost me little under 38quid including taxes – real bargains!!! In-fact, the easyJet fare was actually minus £2.50 so I paid less in tax 🙂

Don’t Ryanair have some (or at least they did have) of Excels 738’s operating for them lately? perhaps the leases for those have been extended further, especially if good terms were offered to XLA whilst Ryanair accepts new 738’s and continues retiring older 732’s!?
LGKR
Excellent prices! You can be sure to get at least one 737-200 with Ryanair!
Thats what I’m hoping for T5 – believe the -200’s are the regular FR aircraft at NCL although I’m not too sure about the BRS runs. The -800’s are cool aswell though, would be over the moon with one of the newbies in the newer livery!!!

nice report kev…. i too am becoming abit more facinated by the movements RYR are creating at these much smaller fields – it puts them too some good use at least 😀
you were quite lucky getting onboard one of the ex-CO 737’s aswell, i gather they arnt staying with Ryanair for all that long. Can anyone elaborate on Ryanairs fleet plans?
cheers,

fixed LBA, cheers.
I guess I’m kinda sceptical about a Continental service from EWR to NCL mainly because of load-factors. With industry reducing its presence in the North East surely there wont be that much of a market for the business traveller (baring in mind we’re kinda close to MAN and have the BA connections from LHR and LGW) leaving sun-seekers heading to say Florida using the NCL-EWR leg before connecting to other CO flights for their final destination. Plus we have news of FCA starting charter ops with what will include seat-only sales to Sanford together with existing TCX and SCY services across the pond…
CO will know what they’re doing though and I’d personally love to see a 752 head to NCL from across the pond on a regular basis…

great news i guess… some bigger charter birds in the form of 763’s will certainly add to Newcastles movements next summer (2005) without a doubt. a shot in the dark i know but would love to see some of the Air 2000 scheduled flights come back to NCL. i recall a paphos service under the DP flight code and possibly an Alicante one – very unlikely now that easyJet have such a huge presence at the field i suppose.
anyone know of any other FCA routes from NCL or is Sanford going to be the only one for now??

cool report green – cheers!
