Jaspis flew this as his regular kite in late summer of 1944. He, too, was DFC’d. He’s still alive too.
Both of these were built by my best mate for the nephew of Jaspis. Nearly 50 hours of work, and a cost of around £110 for what you see there. Mind you, he is bluddy good at it, and I always laugh when I look at the Diverse Images stuff. (Very nice, but just not in the same league – but a different material, so there are reasons!)
