Hoarding is one thing, sharing another, and being screwed is another still. I applaud Moggy for putting the pics up, and know that it was well intended. Freeman wouldn’t have been able to do jack with images downloaded off here – although through what he has done, profitably or not, a lot of people have seen a lot of stuff they would otherwise not have. I also agree that they should have come down, as that was requested by somebody involved with the owner (s) . Whether they see the light of day publicly again, or not, is irrelevant. The decision is that of the owners now that copyright is no longer valid. Just be grateful that you had a peek, and remember it. (As I remember that first peek of M.W.’s girly bits!). Skipper, I am in the same boat as you in that I devote many hours, for a loss, to a wartime squadron, (regulars can surely guess who) and am honoured to be doing so.

To answer previously: Yes, it will have been colour slide film. Those would have been prints off Kodachrome. Kodachrome came about, from memory (I can’t be bothered to Google tonight) in the thirties, and is archival. Colour negative came later, and was crap.
