I always find it worrying when the words serb and assassination appear in the same paragraph.
Yes, AR213 was with 57 OTU, and somewhere (though they haven’t appeared as yet, and are ‘MIA’ right now) there should be some 620-size negatives taken of her, with stripey cowling. They come from a friend who worked on her way back when Ginger Lacey was flying it.
Can’t believe I missed the Spit pic being the wrong way around! Lol. Shiny side down on the scanner should have been a clue. Thanks for correcting that.
As for doing a book, I fear that 20 pix is not enough…Although I currently have 120 of his negs, with some interesting stuff on them (Turbinlite Havocs, Spits of 238 Sqn, France and Germany, Arnhem, B77 Gilze-Rijen, 264 Sqn, 609 Sqn and so on, as well as the 57 OTU stuff. Perhaps some of the names will be remembered – i’m printing these up this week and sending him a set – with a prompt to caption them in detail if possible.
Will cost me over £60 to fly to Scotland, plus accomodation and bar bill, which is money I haven’t got spare at the moment (anyone wanna buy some pictures?!) but if we can arrange some kind of vehicle hire and split it all between us southern pansies, i’m available. Bar bill is probably within realms of saving up for.
I think Skythe found the answer. I suggest you all try following his directions on Google.

You know, i’ve snapped inside that loads of times, but never a shot of the whole thing. Why is that? Bizarre. Thanks for that.
