RE: Battle of Britain DVD
Bang goes my pocket money. Bah. Gonna have to get a DVD player too.
You know what? I bought the video of Airforce a few months back, went to look at it the other week, the guy put the wrong tape in! AIR FORCE ONE. Fool.
RE: Spitfire Question
Yes, I believe they did. I seemt o recall reading something in the last few days about it – in ‘Spitfire Pilot’ by David Crook. Those were MK I’s. It may have been from when they escorted Churchill to France for talks before the capitulation, and found that they had no fuel (ended up with some old crap, and a few cases of Champagne) and no trolley accs.
Thats not much; can anyone expand?
RE: Hello
I KNEW there was a sensible explanation for the carpet burns. Axminster. Of course. Of course, you were looking in the wrong place Ian, you clearly confused him with a saint.
Now, does our chum live at 15 Northfield, 5 West Close, 7 Bruneburg Way, or Landour Sector Lane? I really can’t afford 4 skips, so we must narrow this down.

RE: Meet up No. 2 – Saturday 1st March. Who is up for it?
Ok. I take the hint.
Saturday the 8th? Kevs car should be ok, Moggy should be in trouble for not being romantic on his dirty weekend and therefore able to perhaps skulk away, (I would personally tell her to not be so bloody soppy and to go spend the money on a makeover to look like that strumpet in ‘Dark Blue World’.) Ian could come – which might be difficult under normal circumstances. I’m easy (so they write on the walls behind Tesco’s) How does the 8th suit you Damien?
(Sometimes, I think we’ve been here before. Perhaps its just Deja-Vu)
RE: Hello
I think thats about right dcfly. Very well indeed. Perhaps in the biblical sense.
And there was me thinking that pigeon-toes and hellaid were one and the same from the quality of their intellect…but lo, it is possible for it to be duplicated.

RE: Most and least changed
Unlike the Manchester, which they had to fart around with to get something usable…..
RE: Most and least changed
Well, until the Griffon engine, the Spit stayed pretty much the same except for the fuselage being cropped down to a low back, cannon wings, clipped or extended wing-tips, pointy tail, amount of propellor blades. Bugger.
That leaves the 109, P40 (was it still in service?) Stuka (was it still in service?) and the Gladiator (or do I mean Swordfish? I’m going back to bed).
RE: Any ambitions left??????????
I REALLY want Flying Legends to arrive as soon as possible. Oh yes. And I am NOT kidding. (But it’s for more reasons than the norm!
Parachute jump, See the Victoria Falls, Fly in a warbird as a passenger (fighter-type), I suppose there are more things, but if I die today, it’s ok. I have achieved most of the ones I had before.

RE: Hello
Not at all. Hellaid is actually a fairly good chap – perhaps slightly immature, but he’s not a sad little boy at all. His own unique method of discussing aviation amuses us all – he’s a very funny person. I find him, personally, to be genuine – he doesn’t make out that he is anything other than he appears.
I would give him two points, but he’s convinced I ate him.
