What’s the status about this concerning the ash? Thinking of the airplanes coming in.
Anyway, hopefully everything will be well by Friday so I can go.

All of Norways airspace will most likely open by tonight. I say, send all stranded trans-atlantic flights to OSL or Bergen to help those poor people in USA not coming home.
KLM just tweeted “Before dawn KLM is planning to make at least 1 test flight at a lower altitude to make sure it’s safe to fly.” Is there someone from Schiphol who can perhaps explain what sort of test this is?
I don’t get that either.
Can’t they simply fly in to Spain, Italy or Istanbul? At least Europeans will be closer to their homes.
For flight going from Asia to Europe, there are also Northern Scandinavia open..
Bloody christ..look at that!
It all depends on the wind. Lasting two years or not, at least the wind won’t go to Europe all the time.
Let’s be realistic
Nothing will happen until Wednesday at the earliest.
They just put these idiotic deadlines hours or a day ahead. We all know this won’t go away unless the wind changes or the thing stops puking. I re-booked my wife for wednesday. I’d say that’s the earliest…
My Fridays flight to London…I’d give it a 60-40 chance. I’d most likely not be able to fly.
Wifey will be on a bus wednesday from PRG. In for a 20 hour ride to OSL.
You should be relieved that she is safer on the ground in Prague than heading to Norway in the air
Actually, I’m thinking of just advising her to go back to TLV tonight, if Prague is still open then. I have no hope this will end any time soon.
This is more than annoying.
My wife is stuck halfways to Oslo, in Prague, from Tel Aviv. Wonder when she can continue her journey.
I bloody well mother nature will get a grip by Friday, Gatherings of Warbirds and Legends is coming up and without a flight…well..
Saw the episode on National Geographic once.
The captain must have done the understatement of the century when he announced they had lost all engines.
Lesław Szczerbiński
The last Polish pilot to be killed in action was Ltn. Lesław Szczerbiński, who sank a German ship on 4 May 1945, but died in the bomb explosion.
Must have been buried deep in sand or something right?
Salt water eats away all planes?
