looks similar to the original 1970s one but blue not orange
i coundn’t access form on 7th but did on 8th early am, left the [ayment section so whether i’ll get it is up to them
i guess it won’t be taking off again in hurry, what sort of length does a TU154 need for a take off run.
would have love to have flown one of these on a package holiday but looks like i have missed out now as Balkan have retired theirs, did do a TU-134A of Aviogenex in 1972 though
i thought the airbus had won the tanker contract a few years back, have there been loop holes to allow boeing to win it back?
In Antigua, it costs you $25 to get out, there was rumors it was getting ended, but not sure if it has. It is a great queue forming event, first you queue to check in, then you queue to pay the tax and then queue for security. I guess its a shock to the virgin passengers who have paid extra and checked in at hotel, to find they still have to queue twice!!!!!
on a similar them BAE Regional aircraft dept have recently taken a 767/300 in a 50 seat first classs/VIP only configuation which these are trying to lease out
so maybe the market is pepping up
hey come on i work in the ILS (integrated logistic support) world for BAE and every one knows most faults either occur very early in a items life or very late
downstairs toilet or not, i’m sure TCX quality will be better the Balkan Airways in 1990 when they took over some ex Air Europe flights. On a Cyprus to Man flight we were delayed as there we too many people on the plane for the seats available, and then once in the air when asking for a G&T i was told “No, orange juice or coffee”, the only saving grace was the chance to experience the fabulous TU-154!
i know its kind of sad but my dad has been on an MYT A330 with toilets down stairs amd he did say there was a seat there where you could stretch out while waiting, he also had a chat with a trolly dolly for a while as there is a galley there too i think, but i don’t think he joined the mile high club!!!
back in 2002 we were booked on a mytavel a330 man-florida but during the winter months they had chartered one from Skyservice, and it no seat back entertainment, and for both legs the sound system was down for most of the plane, so it was silent movies!!!!!!
by the way much preferred BMIs A330s when on MAN-ANT their ecomomy was 2-4-2
and to think its less than 10 years ago that Airtours used to cram cruise passengers in one for the shuttle to Palma
brings back memories of my weekly work flights to Exeter and back in 1996 when i was working at H&W on the Schehallien FPSO project, Flybe’s multicolour dots and the G-JE** reg are the only links to Jersey European as the were then.
My Thursday timings were clock OFF at work 11:30, taxi to airport, check in and board the 12:20 flight, which arrived Exeter 13:35, had airport taxi waiting and was at home in Plymouth by 14:30!!!!!
so would the price of repainting the planes, changing check in desks and buying uniforms, all be written off as corporate spending
i agree the tail and aft end is very 767, but the wings and their apparent ability to flex, are amazing
why has it not stayed all week, seems a shame the gen public not getting to see it, as its there money buying tickets that will keep production going
