Tis a shame a good charter airline is forced to move into scheduled work!

we had a rented narrow boat last year and were coming down the feeder canal just as they were performing, then once we tied up by the Peros bridge all the ballons took off for the final time.

mmmmmm if the govt let BAA become as big in the first place they should just accept the situation, i can remember when it was formed and it seemed like Manchester was the only big independent airport

zero security!!!!!! happy days sort of
i can remember as a child early 70s walking down the roof of the piers and Manchester whilst in the viewing area, and then onto the new expance of roof that was the new long hall area with the first connecting walkways to planes, seemed strange not to see people on the concrete and going up steps
also even in te 80s when you came out the arrivals doors and turned left you could walk right up to the road gate beside the international apron, similar to the view in the last picture.

isn’t more to do with cost? the trip i took 7 years ago was an expedia trip, and of course the selection i made was cheapest first
it was a Toronto long weekend break Thur to Mon came in at about £800 for flights and hotel from Man via Frankfurt, other options were with KLM,but the change overs were not as easy as Lufthansa.

maybe he’s getting a back hander from Boeing, and if he bans all the Russian aircraft they will buy Boeings

Its to be hoped they have enough parking places for planes at Frankfurt, in my 1 trip there in 2004 we spent 20 mins lurking behind a hangar waiting for a parking slot to free up, and then when boarding the shuttle to Manchester, we were bused out to a remote stand, but hey we did get a substitute A300 for the normal A320 which was a bonus!!!!!!

once as a spotter aged 15 in 1979, then 1994 on a BMI Edinburgh shuttle
and finally in 2005 using BWIA Antigua run, was a bit dissapointed by the lack of windows in the terminal

on Flight tracker 24 they A380 is easy to spot from its symbol, seems quite a few track over UK airspace,
also on the flight tracker i was amazed to how the KLM or FedeX DC10/MD11s are easy reconisable by the symbol shape

i enjoyed similar views on Tue morning in our BAE super king on my way into Filton.
can i ask a question, why is there a drop in altitude to pass through the south Wales airspace, seems you have to do it at 16k feet rather than 19k
this was the same when i did a Flybe MAN to EXE a year or 2 back
