When I went to Fairways Primary in Leigh on Sea, we had a teacher there and he was disciplined for scaring the whole class. He told us that if the Montgomery went up, then there would be no South Eastern corner of the UK. His theory was, if it blew, the shockwave would be so big it would cause Shell Haven and Coryton to go bang, which would then cause an even bigger shockwave around the coast to Bradwell which would rupture the Nuclear plant and thats what would wipe out our corner. Cue a classful of very upset 9 year olds……… Haunted me for years!!!! :p
