Unknown MiG.21UMs
I know you guys just love a challenge, so heres another for yous to try and solve
The two MiG.21UMs below, are photographed at tblishi whilst on overhaul. Although the pic has been blown up from its rather small but original size, so is not perfect, you can discern that red 27 seems to be painted in the standard scheme for African customers
The roundal is carried on the tail, but colouration is hard to judge.
So my friends, to whom does it belong? 🙂
[QUOTE=MiG-23MLD]
Easy you are saying the Mi-24 armed like this is less capable than a lightly armed Gazzele
Maybe more capable, but a hell of lot easier to hit 😉
Why invade?
OK, Chinas overwhelming military strength would overcome Taiwanese defences, but at what cost?
A more “policticaly correct” strategy could entail a Blockade, since taiwan is dependent upon its trade by sea.
This would allow for US Postering…a couple of carrier battle groups….but, at the end of the day, the US knows that any confrontation with China is not only financialy, but militarily, a no-go.
Taiwan would, through US pressure, concede to certain Chinese demands…and hey presto…crises sorted!!
So no need for a flame war lol.
MiG!!
Sorry guys, this is the image!! 😡
Same camo job. same source, different year….but is it an example that never reached the Congo, and pressed back into serb service??????
MiG.21
Is there any connection to this Serbian MiG.21bis to the Congolese ones shown by Curahee?
Similar camo job, though a later date, and still in Serbia.
Is it an example that failed to reach Congo?
Perhaps not…but i would be intrigued to know others thoughts, and if anyone has further details!
Some more 🙂

T.6, T.34C, and Skyraiders!!
Some new stuff!!
It seems less and less people are bothering to post images. This is a two way thing, everybody posts and shares, otherwise others will tend not to bother. Dont let this brilliant thread die guys 🙁
Some of these pics you may have already seen, some you may not of 😉 😀
During the early part of the year….March i think  …the french handed over to the Sengalese Air Force these two machines, which are photographed at the official hand over ceremony at Dakar-Yoff.
1. A Fennec
2. and an Epsilon
Both have had their previous french I.D stripped, and are awaiting the application of Senegalese markings.
Question!! Does anyone know the number of aircraft involved, and their new identities???
Mexico is no stranger to Aircraft manufactured in Switzerland, its Air Force already operating the PC.6 and PC.7, and is now taking delivery of newer PC.9Ms.
It seems that Zambia still has a few Supporters in operational use, owing to this image posted to me last week!.
A Syrian Goverment Yak-40. But whats that behind?…its a navy Mi.14 Haze 😎
Two rare birds for the price of one, and operated by the Peruvian Army, are the Il-103, and even rarer Cessna T303.
Also operated by the Army is this PA.31 Navajo.
Three birds from Indonesias Police Air Wing. Namely, a Beech 18, a commander, and a PA-31 Navajo.
Stuff from Kazakhstan!!
Just a few images ive managed to locate from Kazakhstan. Hope you like 🙂
