Some pretty interesting angles there 🙂

    Thanks.
Test driving new camera , lens, ball head and teleconverters. Not ideal as quite hazy and aircraft just too far away and small in frame for a manual focus lens on a D2X. Best of a bad job I guess.

    re:Ards Air Show

Brilliant shots from Scrabo hill ,how many people were up there ,from the field it looked like a couple of hundred. In the static shot I can identify one of our officers and three of the cadets! What type of camera and lens were you using, check my threads on the Ulster airshow for pics taken on the field.

Yes there were a large number of people basking amongst the bluebells probably of the order of a hundred or more. It was a beautiful day and a great spectacle although binoculars or long lens required to see the airfield. I was using Nikkor 400mm, 500mm and teleconverters as well as cropping the frame x2. Sturdy tripod and panning head also required. Unfortunately I had to leave before the Red Arrows arrived but there’s always next year or it provides me with a good excuse to visit Duxford or Shuttleworth. I will check your threads for the other angles. Thanks – fstop.
