the tristar and c17 were weather diversions from Brize
the runway closure could have been something to do with the C17 and Im not going to say why ( dont fancy the MIB at my door yet again):cool:
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard something similar proposed for GLA over the years and still nothing has happened. Would have been useful the time A330 Crazy and T5 payed a visit a few years ago, and we almost ended up in the cells ! 😀
We tried a time in the past few years for a similar scheme at Glasgow , but it was knocked on the head by the Headyins at Pitt Street
Ive emailed the guys at the Airport cop shop about this so will wait and see what happens this time :rolleyes:
If you have any problems Allen , give me a call and I will phone my contact at the cop shop for you 😎

Unless Singapore have only recently started flying the A380 in to HK , when I was there 2 weeks ago, they only operated 747, 777 out of HK
My Trip included NRT-SIN with JAL I would recomemed them
and SIN-HKG with Cathy Pacific and was very Impressed
Try Cathy Pacific , confortable seat , good choice of meals and Indvidual In seat Screens ( well it was on the A330)
Kevin
Ouch!
How much is that likely to cost to repair then?
I think the biggest cost will be the kit behind the nose cone , Weather radar antenna and so on , the wing tip damage may take the longest to repair.either way a very expensive incident
Great to have you back
Kev
cant take any chances with an electrical fire , Look what happened to the Swiss MD11 of the coast of Halifax a few years ago ,
beter to be safe than sorry
One of the compliants highlighted was the passenger travelling from Newcastle to Canada Via Gatwick
I thought this a bit strange as BA dont have any Canada flights form Gatwick then when BA couldnt arrange a flight to Canada for a least a week later I thought this was even stranger , It turns out the Passenger of BA,s wasnt In fact flying long haul with BA but Zoom
Now nowhere in the interview were we the viewers made a ware of this fact and were mislead by the programe
the old story , never let the facts get in the way of a good story , even if it isnt true
I Belive that a formal complaint has been raised by BA against Channel 4 and dispatches over this programe
The thing that amused me was there always seemed to be a Virgin Atlantic aircraft in the back of the various shots, even abroad.
Makes you wonder who put Dispatches up to doing a programe like this ,:rolleyes:
what new news did this programe uncover nothing, it,s old news that we have allready heard and read about last Year from the Delays early in the year due to strikes and weather , the lost bags and the disater at T5
Show me something that we didnt all ready Know ,
as For T7 crash , were BA to blame for it , NO were the Pilots to Blame NO , so why shouldnt BA show off the crew who saved the lives off all on board, Did it tarnish BA,s Image ,I dont think it did
Did the other problems tarnish their image , YES , but I dont think BA need some reporter telling them something they all ready Know
One other Thing , when did BA get their chance to respond , If the story I hear is true Dispatches didnt even let BA see the programe so that the could respond properly ,
I look forward to the dispatches programe that lets BA Respond , though I wont hold my breath
whats new ???
Old troubles rehashed into nothing , fair and objective??
I’m not sure if Fly Globespan’s leasing policy is genius or madness…? I think another of their 767’s will be flying the Brize Norton – Falkland Islands run over the winter on behalf of the MOD. A new 738 went off in full livery to Oman Air recently too didn’t it ?
Still, if it affords the opportunity to catch rarities like the Spanish A310, then why not…:D
Hay Frew ,
The Air Comet was in for the Saturday and Sunday only as the 767 need some work on it before going out on lease ,so it looks like either a 757 or 737 for the Orlando route during the winter , or maybe they have leased a 767 like last Year
I cant fathom out what they are up to at all
Good shots there Rab ,
even better when the sun came out for the Air Comet, now where’s that pound :p:p
This brakes my Heart to say this, Not bad Pictures there Stu, :diablo:
The BA picture , I have one thats Identical to you’rs
Great three days at the terrace , good company, some good captures and you managed even to snap the SIA A380,,, well Ok the model one at Madurodam
Kev
you’re tartan Buddy
Hay Stu, yes it was a tad wet, but it did dry up a bit honest
Scotty , I manged to get the CC citaion when it landed, That 40D is great for the low light shots , was told that it was due out at 8am , so decide to enjoy my scratcher instead
Matt, This is the long awaited replacement for the MK2 Nimrods, The MRA4, and yes its been update in all aspects from airframe through to the radar
Im sure there are other fellows would be able to what the chnages are
Steve wishing you a speedy recovery
