Rob, It was A bit warmer than it was in the morning ,Not Much , well my fingers never turned blue getting this bunch, think it was mostly down to the wind chill
Flcriminal:
All shots apart from the Emirates were taken with a canon 100-400 is L series lens and the Emirates the canon 70-300 is lens
I belive that it has only moved , towed for engine test As far as I know it is yet to get airborne ( well no one at Glasgow has yet to see it leave the ground)
So you actually did take photos then 😀 😀
I have to admit it was a graet day , just a pitty we missed the Tranasatlantic flights,
Great shots though , well worth the sunburn
Renfrew : Its a off forum joke , will tell you more when i speak to you
Kevin (The Darkside)
Many thanks Guys
Stu: Im not going to mention Lisbon, 😮 😮
Jamie, I belive it,s going back to IFLC as its off lease, so may turn up again
As for the frontier, I had heard a rumor that there might be more to come
Kevin
It just a thought Sandy, pointing out possible similar incidents with two of Boeings aircraft
The T7 project started in 1990 according to boeings webpage , the same time a report came out about the FEDAC problems
Looking that way Sandy, could this be linked to the problems with the chinook FADEC problems , that are alleged to have casued the crash on the Mull of Kintyre
G-YMMM first flew 2 years after the report saying the Helicopters FADEC Software was unreliable
At Last thought you were only pretending to take pictures when you were there:diablo: :diablo: :diablo:
Great shots , just a pity it was GB day when we went down on the Tuesday
Pleaaaseeeeeee anyone??
Nothing planned at the moment for it turning up at PIK , but Im sure that some one will let you know when it dose
Im sure also that the RAT drops when Electrical power is lost , a picture developing maybe??
I dont think that the backupsystems are at fault, The APU doors are open , which would indicate that it was either running or was in the process of starting up, the question that arises from this is Why?
the APU auto starts when the engines switch off, to me this says the system recieved or didnt recive a command from the engines .the computer triggered the APU thinking that the engines had stopped ,but according to the AAIB and RR both were running at the time
There seem to be a brake down of communcation between the Computer systems onboard
I would guess this is why the Passengers didnt notice the internal lights flicker as the main generators where still provinding power
As for the RAT I lead to belive that this only provides Hydraluic power for the flight control systems and nothing else
Ok, share with us your intimate knowledge of the 777’s gear structure? Seeing as you seem to think you know best?
may be you should show every one youre own credentials before challanging any one elses
The way you come over to everyone we might just think that you are a qualified B777 engineer ,
Looks like a large slice of Humble pie heading across the pond
I also remmber that night with great Clarity , It came on the news about a plane crash in Dumfieshire , and I remember going to my Bedroom and tuneing in my radio to the Fire brigade , and hearing all these fire engines heading south, I couldnt understand why Fire engines from Glasgow were attending , then when the first Horrific pictures were broadcast
About 10 Years later I starting doing regular deliveries to Lockerbie,On one occassion I took the back roads to Langholm and what a very eerie place this road was ,I remeber feeling very cold , I started to climb a hill past a Garden of rembrance and a church ,I glanced to My left as I past the church and realised this was the place the cockpit had came to rest , I will never ever forget that feeling that came over me on both ocassions
I think we in Scotland are more aware of it now ,as the person jailed for commiting this outrage is about to appeal His sentence
I just Hope the Justice System in Scotland hasnt been duped By the CIA
Man C
the first lot were taken from the Dragon House ,i think it was 07 right departures for about 1 hour, then the wind changed, whilst there we managed about 7 or 8 special scheme aircraft
Was it you who started the November thread on the HKSG?
G-PIK

Scotty , it was one of those days , even the guys over here havent seen blue skies like this for a few weeks now , so the were even pleased, the mist would come and go all day leading to the brilliant sunset at the end of the day
Im pleased with the Cathy 747 think its the first time i have managed a shot of her even though i have seen it a the row on numerouse occasions,im a bit peved with the BA747 , as i manged to clip a bit of the tail , if i have just delayed that fraction of a second it would have been perfect( i was going to caption it BEHIND YOU) I have a few more with a similiary vain , but im yet to edit them
Sam Mac
With the way things are i think it could lead to some trouble getting shots of the inside , i might ask and see what happens
The deck is on top of T2 and was quite busy for a Sunday , there are no facilities what so ever , but there is a bin, there are free to use binos that you see at the seeside and with them you can see everything on the airport , again the only problem beeing the angle of the sun and the mist
Umble T I got you’re message ,tried to reply to you by email , but having problems sending will get back to you when i get home (Thursday)
