Hi James,
If you PM with you’re email address i will sort out a selection for you and send them down to you, I have about 10 shots of her , some close ups of the nose and such as she departed , will sort them out later ,as im nipping out, heard that there might be something interesting arriving at PIK (military)
The Channel express was using Channex call-sign it might of been doing GSM flights ,but m not sure
got to go Kevin
Hi oneleft,
Had a look the original Raw file it looks like I,ve managed to click on the heal tool and its copied the door handle, Though I cant recall using that tool in that picture, The only thing I did was sharpen it up a bit
Will redo the picture and upload again
Thanks Kevin
Done 😉
Have had a bit of time to do a closeup of the badge under the cockpit window
Cheers lukeylad
It was great to see this old girl, we did in the past few years get to see some even rarer 707 transiting through Prestwick heading States side for Omega tankers , If I’m correct one was grounded due to engine problems for about 6 months at PIK , but these had to get special authority from the CAA to fly through British airspace as they had come from Asia
Some time we get the odd KC135 showing up especially if there is big military exercise going on,
Cheers Guys for the comments
It was well woth getting choked by the fumes from the 707 what a reeke, 😮 didnt need radar or sbs1 to track her, just followed the Plume of smoke :diablo:
Cheers James
Scott, seen that you manged a few of the Georgian 737, just a pity that it was so overcast and cold, I did noticed the Storm aviation van in front of the Globey 757 and when i passed on my way to the mound I seen the front door open as well, not a very good start to its new life at Globey First round trip and it’s sick 🙁
Cheers Guys,
Corrected the AMC it is a A319
Its amazing what a drop of sunshine can do for you’re pictures, heres for more sun and clear days
Kevin
Looks well better than the old retro style colours
Kevin
Hi GAZ,
Well worth every penny, all we need now is good weather and some interesting aircraft and we are laughing 😮
Kevin
Many Thanks again James
Having the 400D and the 100-400mm lens is starting to pay off , I have a lot more flexibility now , not stuck to the normall places for shotting pictures from
Kevin
Many thanks James
Thanks DJ,
it,s a bit of a challange to get it decent shots from the north side , but it can be worth sometimes
Allen, it showed up this morning and did the Orlando flight
Kevin
Hi Woddy,
Good to see ya on here, have to second Iain comments about the North American
Kevin
Well, if you don’t have one, 7dayshop.com have a ‘hurricane blower’ for £3.50 + postage! 🙂
Nice shots btw. 😀
cheers Monkeyhugger
What waste all that money ( scots man talking):D
With these blowers you have to be carefull, sometime you are only rearanging the dust spots on the CCD, The d400 actually vibrates the filter in front of the CCD and knocks the dust off , so hopefully it should them move off,if not i might consider robbing the piggy bank again
Kevin
Good Shots there Iain,
Liked Indian 737 and the North American lifting off but the Atlas stands out
