Ok, thanks Hooligan, sorry I haven’t replied sooner but this site has been closed every time I’ve tried to log in.
No I am not too keen on it either, it is pretty weird .
There wasn’t nothing in the papers that I saw or did I miss it. I would have thought that an obituary would have been in or at least some mention.
Archer I think you’ll find Kermit’s is a different one, I helped dismantle it at PPS for shipping to him and as far as I know he still has it.
Probably waiting in the sides for rebuild?
Thanks Stan, that’s good to hear from someone with firsthand experience, much appreciated.
The guy in first one was well used to doing it and he had plenty of height to start with. No he definity knew what he was doing, also he was playing to the camera a fair bit.
Correct me if I’m wrong and I hope that I am but I read somewhere that she will be converted to a two seater.
Does that mean there will be an article on the recovery Dave?:eagerness:
Looks great. The recovery would make a really interesting article in one of the mags, I for one would love to read about it in more depth ( excuse the pun ). Hope someone does it.
It is nice, would love it but so is the Avro windscreen. It’s justifying the expense that’s holding me back. No doubt there is much more than £850:00,worth of time getting the engine this far. Thanks for posting it TonyT.
Is it still possible to get a copy of the companion book to this documentary and if so where from? Thanks.
Mark12, that’s good that you still see your friend from 60 years ago. Now that you have pointed it out and I have zoomed in on the photo, I can see it’s a fin and rudder. Thanks for the reply.
Is that you or your mate in the cockpit Mark12 ?, also is that another Spitfire wing stood up against the fence behind the port wing of TB885?
Great thanks for the post.
