Good to hear, thanks Daniel
Off topic, please forgive. My wife and I are travelling from Australia to the UK for a holiday in September. Going to visit Duxford again, cant wait. I understand there will be an airshow that month, is there any information of activities around the 19th to the 21st.? Thanks in advance.
Al you’ll miss the last airshow by about a week (10/11 Sept), but daresay something will be out and about.
thanks for your replies fellows, much appreciated.
Amazed that nobody knows anything on here about him, but thank you all for looking anyway.
Sorry to hear that, met him 30 plus years ago, when my brother and I went to look at a DH60 that he was selling. Nice fellow, condolences to his family.
Forgive me Father Mitchell for I have sinned. 🙂
There’s not much room to “sin in a Spit”. What do they get to do? 🙂
Now do you really need to ask?:D
Well thanks for the input fellows, and like CeBro said it will be a loss if he’s left. He is a bit of a Messiah regarding Spitfires though.:)
Now calling himself Robert Fitzgerald from New Jersey on Hyperscale! Same post different name
Good isn’t it:rolleyes:
So is it / was it a square section tube?, as that straight crease lengthwise in the picture would point that it wasn’t round tube.
Apparently there are only two qualified Spitfire lady pilots in the world at present – Carolyn Grace and Liz Needham.
What about Anna Walker? She used to fly a Seafire, but haven’t heard anything about whether she’s still current lately.
I’d go for agricultural debris.
Well gents I stand corrected, thank you, if he is going off with post number 10,000 all is not lost as he’s got 3 more to go.
Mark hasn’t posted since his 10.000th, Was that really a goodbye?
Cees
I think we’re OK his last post was only number 99997, according to the tally on his above post:)
Ok thanks for the reply K5054NZ. Good luck with next visit and post some more photos when you get a chance please, thanks.
What a beauty, is it going to be restored as a flyer and which one is it?
