I have a copy of “The CO’s query “, I bought ityears ago and interestingly MJ730 was in the next hangar to where I was working at Staverton, David Pennell owned her at the time. I think he sold her and she went to the States afterwards.
Looks like nobody is caring much about this site now for this crap to be up for so long. Pity
I am sorry I can’t help you out but if it is from Avro , I would think it would be ground related not airborne, going by the push to test button as for a flying gauge you would need a constant reading to monitor.
I stand to be corrected, but anyway welcome to the forum.
Yes I believe he contributes occasionally but no longer contributes on this forum
Looking at that old thread above Prop Strike is amazing. It is such a shame that Peter Arnold doesn’t post anything on the forum now, he had such a wealth of knowledge.
Interesting reading Charles, did you get to fly the Hornet Moth while in your father’s ownership?
Dave, that was great, thank you.
Let us hope they read the posts and take heed. I too have had it since the first issue when it was a mine of information.
In fairness it must be difficult competing with social media for news as most of the latest stuff is put up as it happens. I guess the only thing that they could do would be to cherry pick off social media news and do more in depth coverage of particular items.
Never too late to add something new, thanks.
Ok will do, thanks Elliot
The link doesn’t seem to work Elliot
Lovely informative video, thanks Dave. I helped dismantle the one that Kermit Weeks has when it was at PPS in the early 90’s and it was a very impressive aeroplane, I was amazed by it’s height when getting into the cockpit.
Still a nice looking aeroplane though. It’s certainly got something about it.
Ok thanks Aerotony. It’s a really impressive looking aeroplane , wonder what happened.
Any idea what the background is to the photo?
