A sample of 1000 people. In total? That’s how many aircraft worth of passengers? One and a half 747 equivalents each.

Choose your BA flight and you can skew the results which ever way you want.

It turns out that there was some kind of a annual dinner at the British Embassy and the RAF usually send out some people/aircraft and this year it was the two Typhoons. BH had some kind of brake problem and was still there on the 10th when I flew back.

    Hi everybody!

Does anyone in this forum have experience in recovering aircraft from Russia?
I have been told by some that you need an ‘official invite’, in order to recover anything from Russia, is this true and if so how would one go about it?.

I am aware of the familiar names etc associated with recoveries from Russia but I would rather do it by myself.
I know that ‘money talks’ especially american dollars over there but how would you make a start??

I have been offered 3 different 109’s but to be honest they are beyond a rebuild, will post pics soon.

Any help would be most appreciated. 🙂

Customs rules and regulations for export from Russia change from day to day and usually for the worse. It used to be that you needed an export license to take anything pre-revolution out of Russia but the cut-off date keeps moving.

I tried getting some museum aircraft out but the amount of money they wanted kept going up and up and up. You need to have confidence in the people you are dealing and with the people that they deal with.

We had major arguments when the other side brought in somebody who was going to finance part of the deal who then started making false statements about discussions they allegedly had had with me. It took a long time to convince them that no such discussions had or would take place but the damage was done.

It will be heading toward’s Air Salvage International’s yeard at Beech on the A339 between Lasham and Alton. They are (or will be) scrapping another ex-BA A320 at Lasham.

    From their website

    http://www.airsalvage.co.uk/

Air Salvage International will be moving a 22ft wide by 40ft aircraft section (part of a Boeing 747) from Kemble to Alton, along the M4/ M3 and along the A339 on 29th Saturday.

The police will be closing the road for approx 1 hour (ETA Alton 12 noon).

The section will be off loaded at our facilities (Unit 2 Valley Court Basingstoke Road Alton) for a refit it will then be transported late October to South Downs College Portsmouth where it will be used by the college as a training simulator.
