Wel lif China changes policy and starts shouting only and stops producing something useful then you will have the same as LCA…

China never produced details about their planes. It is not just put together plane on others advice. So it is being developed and in the end the buyers will receive the details. They do not need shouting. It is there to be a F16MLU derivative. LCA is late and open… Otherwise it would have been a dead project anyway. Now they receive attention and keep a dead project running. I jjust read in other topic that the Korean Eagle is less compared with LCA… Sure. Well maybe Israel should opt for LCA and drop the Eagle…:D

But those who are going to buy it do probably know what is in it. I have seen many reports that the final version in 2005 will have FBW and SD10…

Well Vic. I have seen his fake Pakistani mullah oriented and just fuel for others to react wit flames posts… And this name is well known name on PDF… A name that has been used before to start flames.

Theory made by an Indian poster… If all the people involved in the project tell that it will ahve fully quadruppel FBW then this person has no vlaue. He is belonging to the same group that told that FC! was paper plane… Laughable.

Totally agree… Without BVR (cause we are sane enough to know that no AMRAAM is going to reach PAF) and some MLU advantages it is still the same as the old outdated Block 15 they allready got. More F16 planes means more cash throwing out of Pakistan compared to same amount Chinese planes. And more depending on US smile… I would opt for non US plane… Anything better then outdated rusty non BVR planes…

model of a new Chinese AWACS aircraft is revealed here. At least one A-50 type AWACS prototype was spotted under test in Nanjing carrying a CFTE emblem (serial # 762) in 2003. This could be an Il-76 fitted with an indigenous AWACS system (KJ-2000? developed by Nanjing Electronic Technology Research Insitute/14 Institute). The system is presumably similar, but slightly inferior to the Israeli Phalcon system onboard A-50I with a fixed (?) rotodome housing three phased array antennas in a triangular configuration. As the result a 360° radar coverage can be achieved. A large EW antenna is located inside the radome projecting forward on top of the vertial tailfin too. Two large angled ventral fins are attached underneath the tail to compensate the effort of rotodome on aircraft handling. An A-50 style IFR probe indicates its operations can be further extended with the tanker support.

Nice pics Troung. Have seen one example in a museum in HCM… Awesome. But the most impressive was one on the ground destroyed mig21… It was still laying between the protection walls… That was the most shaming moent for not having a digital camera with me… Any Flanker pics?

Vic, awesome epic. But are the avionics not suited in nose and the area behind that? If it is suited behind the pilot then the cable length could be reduced (weight). Normally I thought that little planes carried fuel in that area.
