Great photos, but have not seen razor wire at airshows before, looks a bit extreme! Those tiger striped Delfins look nice.
Stieglitz LY-LVN became ZU-CWL 22/9/03 and is current so may have been a minor accident?
I wonder what are the chances of these airframes being placed under cover??
Something I would love to see. The museum as far as I know long term will be housed in the former ‘factory site’ on the airfield. I know they have a further 3 years left on the lease of the site so maybe it will happern after that? Ideally I would like to see the last ‘black shed'(dating c1917) in use to house the aircraft as its only a 100m from the current building and fully acessable.
It looks better than the old grey scheme. Its nice to see a brighter scheme, but it seems few of their 777’s operating into LHR have it so far. Still perfer the 80’s/early 90’s white scheme that I saw on their 727’s/737-2/747sp/DC10 etc 😀 .

The CRJs seem to be doing more work for Air France recently than anyone else.
Exactly what I thought, although I have not seen them on the earry morning AFR flights into LHR reciently so I assume they not operating on the winter schedules???

here is some indepth info on the Loire 130http://www.wwiitechpubs.info/hangar/ac-francaise/ac-fr-sea-loire-130/ac-fr-sea-loire-130-br.html . They were still in service until the early 50’s!
Still nothing on the (older)pusher type?
As C.G. Grey legendary editor of ‘The Aeroplane’ said at a 1930’s Paris show
‘the French as still at war with aerodynamics’!.
Some great bith of ironmongary though.
The large 4 engines flying boat is either a Breguet 730(pre war) of 731(post war), the 731 was just a prototype and was still in service in 1953.
I have only ever used the terrace as they have never used the runway by McDonals when I have been there 😡 .
Have answered my own question the Tampa is ex Varig, they are getting 2.

Great photos, will have to start planning my annual trip next summer.
Although I hear there is now a charge for the deck. Only 1 euro but gets expensive if you have a weak bladder and get hungry a lot!
Who was the Tampa 767F with previously? About time they replaced their DC8’s.

Those photos are great, nice to see that the golf course is really on the end of the runway. Not many night flights thankfully!
Thanks moondance, thats very good news about the runways. Must stop looking at the arrivals boards on the net, makes me want to go now!
Cheers for your help guys.
