Not sure if you’re referring to a flying example. A couple of Malaysian two seaters were in the static at Waddington in 2000. Always thought they were funny looking things!
I didn’t know about the Waddington ones, a long way from home. Yes in its updated versions not a pretty sight. I guess there must have been a few around the UK in the 60’s off US carriers.

Robbelc,Methinks I saw the RAE Storch on the scrap heap at Coley’s Yard in the late 1950’s. 🙁 I will dig the photo out.
Mark
That storch was VP546 which lives today at Cosford. Although the RAE had quite a few storch’s 546 was handed over to the gliding club after the trials and was used into the 50’s as a tug. I would guess the rest wen to Coley’s 😡 .Iwould love to see the photo though. 😀
I cant see any CAA problems, after all there is still full product support.
Am I right in saying that the last time a A4 appeared at a show was Greenham Common in 1977! I know a few have passed few the uk on ferry flights though.
Talking of Storch’s(lovely aircraft) here is the RAE Farnborough glider tug circa 1947

Have to agree with the VC10, amazing to think they are still flying, and they are all older than me!
As for commercial airliners I like the A340-600, for bizjets I love the BD700 Global Express.
The ugliest has to be the A318, that tail is just too big!
I remember the York,Ambassador, and Dak well at Lasham while witnessing the destruction of Comets and 707’s in the 70’s.
The York and Ambassador left for Duxford leaving the Dak for a couple of years. The Dak(G-AMSU) went to Euro Disney(still in basic DA scheme) and sat unused and in now in a museum in Holland.
I am glad the York is in DA scheme and not a military scheme. Would be nice to see the Ambasador in the BEA scheme though.
I cant beleive thay have scraped this KC-97!! .
I remember seeing it a LBG in the late 80’s. My first 97 after waiting many years to see one, narrowly missing them in service.
Saw them still in (civil) service at Miami in 1990, just before the Connies arrived one day :D.
Would have been nice to see one preserved in the UK as they served for a long time here.
Propliners rule!!!
this one:D ,not really for the purists, but stunning.. for me its has to be G-FIRE in its red scheme.
You mean there are aircraft at Gatwick behind all that concrete?!
I dont really get the point of BMI baby,BMI’s fares themselves out of LHR are the cheapest there and similar to Easyjet to AMS etc. So why bother having a low cost branch when you are going semi low cost yourself???
Looks like a trip to Madrid to get that log illusive EC-EXM MD87!
Their ‘old’ A320-211 are between c/n’s 0134-0312 and I still need 2 EC-ICS,T! What time frame is this over?
WP805 G-MAJR based Lee-on-Solent?
WB586 became LN-DHC
WZ847 G-CPMK based at Ashbourne?
WK642 G-BXDP based in Ireland
WP896 G-BWVY
WK624 G-BWHI based Duxford
The Battle did make it to Holland, there was the famous Maastricht bridges attack. They both had 3 bladed props, the battles is bigger. If my memory is correct the battle is more distinctive having the pitch gear on the rear of the prop wheres the Blenhiem was ‘flush’. Im sure somebody will correct me though;) .
Cant wait to see this one, now registered as G-CBOA to Cliff Baker of Newark, Auster rebuilder extrodinare. Although it was registered in 2002 and was airpworth when shipped it still has no Cof A. I understand that they also have parts from the Agricola prototype ZK-BMI and lots of bits from NZ, enough to rebuild a second example!
Although I am not sure if I rather see the Agricola or the LAC Prospector G-APWZ that went to NZ about the same time the Auster arrived.
Excellet photos 😀 ,now that is a proper warbird scheme! Takes me back to when I was 7 and my first show.

That would have been the last time you would have seen I-BILL in those markings as she was being taken to Dorniers to be painted in a WWII USAAF scheme when she was lost.
I didn’t know that I guess she was still yellow when she sadly crashed in Germany on July 3rd. I have some slides of it in its yellow scheme, but sadly no slide scanner. Couldn’t find any on the net either
😡 .
