    “La Vaudree” is the pub on Rue St Gilles which I was asking about. I just checked my book now (several months after the original question, I’d forgotten about this thread and found it on a search).

    I didn’t get one of that Hercules on its own, but I think it’s behind the horizontal Airbus on the picture with the two EI Airbuses, it wasn’t easily accessible to photograph because it was quite a distance from the terminal, but I did see it. If it’s the one I’m thinking of it has a dark tail and a harp design on the tail in white, is that the one? I think there was another Herc as well but it was a slightly different livery and I didn’t get a good look.

    Thanks for your comments everyone, I was quite pleased with how the photos came out considering that some had been taken through rain-splashed windows. The 737s with winglets in some of the photos are the first ones I’ve seen like that, there were loads of them in DUB. I would like to visit the other Irish airports in time if they are as good as DUB for spotting they should be worth a visit.

    A Ryanair Boeing 737-200 just arrived from somewhere, the livery looked superb as the sun caught it, but I am no fan of Ryanair.
