Good on ya Wys!!! Keep ’em coming, don’t take notice of the woolly minded liberal do gooders who whine everytime someone mentions anything bad about asylum seekers.
Avoid Air New Zealand like the plague!!!
Frank – take my advice, do not fly with Air New Zealand between LHR and LAX, their on board “service” is at best extremely shoddy and at worst non-existant. Their standards are nowhere near as good as you could expect on certain Belgian airlines.
Thanks Simmer. The message said there were too many bytes, I don’t know if it meant pixels or not. My photo was jpeg and my photo software is ArcSoft PhotoImpression, which came with my Epson scanner.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I’ve been onto Telewest about blueyonder, and I’ve been told it’s not available in my area (north east Yorkshire). I also checked out Virgin, I like the sound of some of their offers, I’m into the off peak/daytime idea, the current provider has 8am-4pm daily for £4.99 a month, but they are not very good – email queries ignored but I won’t go into all the gory details here!!
Thanks

I know what you mean about low flying Fokkers near Reykjavik airport. I used to have regular holidays in Iceland and remember once walking along a path near the end of the Reykjavik airport runway when a Fokker F27 flew over my head, literally seconds from landing with its landing gear down. I used to regularly walk near the Perlan restaurant and have had several fun domestic flights on Icelandair’s Fokker 27s and 50s from Reykjavik airport. It’s a pity that the country became so commercialised and touristy, I went for the first time in 1983 and there wasn’t even a car park in the geyser area, let alone a restaurant and hotel. Iceland has been altered and not for the better.
Thanks Frank, it was very helpful. I won’t be in Liege at night, it will be a day time visit by train from Mechelen. The pub I asked about is listed in “Great Beers of Belgium”, that’s how I heard of it.

Very interesting Saab. I shall be flying with Aer Lingus in June and expected to be flying in a BAe 146. When do you think the new aircraft would arrive (if they do)?
Why does it say uk:::yes at the bottom of my post? This is NOT my signature.
RE: Most Memorable flight?
Flight NZ001 from LHR-LAX on 27th April 1997. I went up onto the flight deck for the first time on any airliner – what a superb experience (the aircraft was a 747-400).
Flight SN2177 from Brussels to Manchester on 13th September 2001 – my last ever flight on sabena.
Flight SN2174 from Manchester to Brussels on 6th July 2000 – my first ever flight with Sabena.
Sloeber. Simply sensational.
RE: I want to see your face
Believe me, you will see my face as soon as I get a scanner, I only got my PC installed yesterday!!! 🙂
