SN Brussels use the Avro RJ on all flights between BHX and BRU. I cannot say about BE, but then again they will not be as good as SN.

    RE: Another EGNM press release

I’m from North Yorkshire and use Manchester airport. Why? Because holiday firms such as Bridge Travel charge hell of alot more to fly from Leeds than from Manchester, even when the cost of rail fare is taken into account. Then of course there are no Belgian airlines operating from LBA.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?

I got a new PlayStation game – Devil May Cry – which is damned good. Also the usual stuff – Viz annual, clothes etc. Had a decent Corsendonk Pater (dark Belgian beer for the uninitiated) and spent the night fuming over the fact that my local “beer shop” is in fact a big pile of s**t, asking for orders for rare beers then selling them on to someone else before they can be collected. This fiasco with the Rochefort 10 has brought home the fact that Scarborough is a bloody awful shopping place. Next year I will buy my beer from Knaresborough.

VET – nothing else comes close

There is only one job in it for me – veterinary surgeon (with the emphasis on surgeon). I used to help in a vets every weekend and school holiday and it’s the best job in the world for those interested in medicine AND animals.
Maes. Definitely the best lager in the world.

RE: What Are You Doing On New Years Eve

Nothing, except preparing to move into my new flat and playing hell with the woman at the local “beer shop” for selling my order of Rochefort 10 to someone else and then lying about it.

    RE: Ghosts

As I said before – I live in a haunted house. On Tuesday night I thought I had been broken into, I heard drawers being opened, stairs being walked up and down outside my room, but when I looked everything was in darkness. My old Dalmatian, who died 10 years ago, is still around as neighbours hear him barking and someone once saw him.

    RE: AW Forum Meet??

We could meet in Oudenaarde, Belgium. I know a very good bar with good food and the best local beer (Sloeber). I will be there next September.

    RE: Antwerp Airport

Thanks Fokker – I wanted to get some idea of the taxi fare (or bus fare) more than anything, but only 3km is not too bad compared to some distances from centres to airports. After my flight lands I have to go into Antwerp and catch the train to Mechelen from the Centraal station. My flight lands at lunchtime so I need to eat before I leave the airport ideally.
