    RE: Anyone like osama?

No I bloody well do not like the #####. I feel sorry for the victims of 11th September and the Bali bomb, not the pig ##### who orchestrated the attacks. I know that any Amnesty International loving do-gooders out there will be horrified by my views, but I don’t give a damn. May he and all his followers burn in eternal Hell, but then again, Hell is probably too good for them.

    RE: Aer Lingus

Saab – this will be a short break (Monday to Thursday) so initially Dublin, I will see Dublin on the first visit and then maybe visit other places on future visits. I don’t drive so I need to be within easy reach of transport but if I get the opportunity sometime I would like to see the west of the country.

I’m off with VLM again next year, my travel company does not even offer flights with SNBA (it’s the only British firm which operates to Belgium and does not use SNBA, and it’s also the only British firm which offers Mechelen as a destination).[http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/sabenabelgianairlines]

    RE: Aer Lingus

I would be flying on the BAe 146 I think. Interesting point about paying for food and drink, Saab, but on such a short flight I don’t think there’ll be a problem as I usually like to have a drink in the airport before I fly. I’ve been considering Ireland for a few years now, this is the first opportunity to actually put my plans into action. There certainly looks to be beautiful countryside there.

Bloody hell Geforce – what is happening to Belgian aviation? It’s one year to the day since Sabena went and now VG/Delsey. I have alot of sympathy for the staff who thought they were getting back into work after the loss of Sabena, now it’s all happened again. I sincerely hope that all Belgium’s existing airlines (SNBA, VLM, Sobelair etc) manage to survive.[http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/sabenabelgianairlines]

RE: Luxair Fokker 50 crashes in Fog

Shocking – my thoughts to the victims and their families. Luxair had an exceptional safety record and the Fokker 50 is an extremely reliable type. I read that the aircraft involved had only been maintained the day before the crash, what could have gone wrong?[http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/sabenabelgianairlines]

    RE: College Qualifications , Degrees………

I have no qualification in aviation, I wanted to be a vet, but my interest came about due to the fact that I went to airshows at Finningley when I was small, up until the age of 13. I had my first holiday by air when I was four. I had my first flight in a 747 when I was five and I’ve flown most years since. My knowledge comes about through reading up on aircraft, learning to observe all different types to get the best photo and video footage and when I was small I used to help my Grandfather make models.

    RE: Weekend Activity

In the summer I help out in a small museum in Pickering (Beck Isle). In winter I go shopping (very boring activity in a wasteland like Scarborough), play on my Playstation 2, care for my birds (I keep exotic finches), walk my dog and sometimes go out for a meal (Scarborough does have excellent restaurants – Italian, Indian, Chinese, Greek) and every Saturday night I have a bottle of beer (more often than not a Belgian beer).

    RE: Halloween!!

I live in a haunted house (yes seriously!!) so I do believe in ghosts.
A few years ago I had my old Dalmatian put to sleep at home. A few days later my Mum heard him barking. When we eventually got a new dog, our next door neighbour stopped me outside one day and said that the new dog sounded exactly like my old dog as she heard him barking in the yard every night. I never told her that the new dog was too young to bark (he took ages to start barking properly), but every night we used to let the old dog out into the back yard last thing, and he would then bark to come in. Also a friend once visited and she saw my old Dalmatian sitting in the lounge (he had been dead two years then).

Thanks Benair – lovely photos. I saw “Wanula Dreaming” once but I’ve only seen “Nalanji Dreaming” in photos. I like both designs, but this one has rarity value and blue is one of my favourite colours on an aircraft.
