SNBA have some kind of sponsorship with UNICEF, but they don’t ask passengers to donate their spare change or anything, and I haven’t experienced any of my ticket money going to them, so I don’t think they do that.
I haven’t used my MSN Messenger for ages, but thanks for the warning Kurmitz. I don’t normally get caught out because anything junky looking just gets deleted straight off. Most junk goes to my Hotmail address, not my Freeserve one, so that is why I got hit 😡 I was just glad I had updated my virus scanner not long before.
I had that too. I don’t have Pay Pal either and had noticed the date – 31st March 2005!
That’s good news then. GNER are about the best of the rail operators.
Thanks 😀 And it’s BHX in September, now that I know I can’t have my ride on the Syrian SP. That would have been a fun report to write – LHR-MAN on Syrian.
I wonder how many people would care about baby seals if they weren’t cute with big eyes?
These people who are up in arms about the seal cull are often only too happy to eat fish, which die a slow death by suffocation, chickens which are kept in the worst conditions of any farmed animal. The less visually appealing the animal, the less people give a damn about whether it is cruelly killed or not.
Thanks 😀 That little ERJ with the tartan tail inspired my latest flight for British Airways Virtual, last week I did the BA1628 to AMS in an ERJ145, though with a regular tail and not tartan.
My Mum had offered me a birthday treat of a flight in the 747SP of Syrian, but the airline doesn’t sell tickets for the LHR-MAN service, so I am very disappointed about that 🙁

Thanks for the comments 😀 The train is included as an illustration of how awful the trains on the Brussels Airport Express can be, and also I include those to wind up the people on Luchtzak, where I am a forum moderator :diablo:
The beers are great, there are some in there I’ve never tried, and my beloved favourite is there too (the Sloeber at the front).

The PIA 777. Last time I captured a PIA aircraft on video it was a 747-200. This is my first sighting of their new colours 777!

PIA and British Airways.

The arrival of SN2173.

The departure of SN2174. We wish we had booked this flight instead of SN2178, then we would have been in Brussels several hours earlier!

Singapore 747-400 just after take off.

The British Airways Dash 8 with a tartan tail after take off. This aircraft is a regular at MAN.

This is my favourite of all the BA aircraft! I first saw G-EMBK on 30th March 2004 in BHX, and I thought it suited its tail very well, as I think the World Tails looked stupid on the main fleet but great on the smaller aircraft! I asked British Airways Virtual if this aircraft was available in Flight Sim, and for ages I had a photo of it as my desktop. I was pleased to see it again, and this time it was operating flight BA1628, the 14:00 departure to AMS.

Thomas Cook 757 after take off.

Turkish Airlines 737 with winglets.

US Airways A330 just becoming airborne.
All in all this was a great day. I just had one (very big) disappointment. I remember hearing about the Syrian 747SP in MAN on a Tuesday, and I just hoped I would see it because the SP is rarely seen here and I wanted to bag one before they were withdrawn. In the event, the Syrian flight was operated by a very mundane aircraft in comparison and I still have not bagged a 747SP.
Sorry for the compression of these photos, there were prepared in this way to post on Luchtzak to save having to upload postage stamp sized thumbnails like we have on here now.

Yet another variant of the Star Alliance livery for this bmi A321.

bmi – how many of these liveries do you have?

The title of this photo is “busy scene” because it shows the bustle around that area of the terminal at the middle of the morning. You have Ryanair, British Airways, Eastern and Lufthansa.

CSA 737 taken from the departure lounge.

Emirates A330.

First Choice (formerly Air 2000) 757.

Ryanair 737-200 arriving.

Two Irish airlines!

My first ever Helios!

Lufthansa 737 just after take off.

Our old friend OO-VLV, the nicest VLM aircraft I flew on, owing to its leather seats!

This soldier is a credit to the British Army. Great news indeed that he is awarded the VC for his actions.
Great stuff! I thought SWISS were in T2 last year? I’m sure they were there last November. I hope that ERJ170 is back in September, I want to bag one and the most recent AZ aircraft I’ve seen have all been Airbus types.
Pity the photography is so limited from the departure area of T2 because that is where I’ll spend most of my time on 5th September, with the afternoon of 4th September set aside for spotting.
