How can anyone liken Ms David Beckham to Orlando Bloom??!!??
England might have won the penalty shoot out if it hadn’t been for Ms David Beckham cocking up “his” penalty attempt!! No wonder everyone was laughing at “him”, making a total balls up as usual 😀
And some people think “he” is the best in the world!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
When people block my view when I am spotting!
In Brussels back in 2000, I was in the departure lounge watching the aircraft through the window, when a bimbo student type and her boyfriend came and sat right in front of where I was viewing. They weren’t interested in the aircraft, they just seemed to make a point of blocking my view. When that happened again a few years later, also in Brussels, I pushed my way back in front of the view blockers and prevented them seeing anything!
The other week in the aviation viewing park at MAN, I was taking video of an Aer Lingus Boeing 737 as it accelerated down the runway. Just as it was about to lift off, a couple next to me sat their bloody brat on the fence and blocked my filming, so I wasn’t too pleased. People with brats seem to think everyone should shift out of the way and they should have priority in everything, like the family of dross who marched straight to the front of a bus queue in Scarborough the other day. They weren’t going to get on before me, however, and when I made sure I got on first there was the usual yelling accusing me of pushing in front of them, like you get with dross, but I turned round and gave them a mouthful back!
Discussing airport viewing and photography means you are bound to get users posting photos they have taken of commercial aircraft at airports, I don’t find that off topic at all. Neither do I think airline flight reports are off topic in a commercial aviation forum.
Sorry Dartie, but what do you specify as on topic on this forum?
We could go further and say that over 90% of topics in the general discussion forum are not discussion topics at all, but useless, pathetic rubbish, and I think many people will know the kinds of topics I mean, things such as “so and so and so’s summer of love”, “so and so’s love in”, topics named after individual members and containing nothing but infantile trash. If you want to go on about any section of the forums being crap, then I suggest talking about the General Discussion forum. In my opinion, the Commercial forum is the best of the forums on this site.
Congratulations France 😀 😀
That’s the best news I’ve had all day, especially bloody Beckham missing a penalty 😀 😀 😀 That really makes my day 😀 😀 😀
Would the JT underneath the cockpit window be the last two letters of the reg?
yes – the full registration of the aircraft is OO-DJT.
Comet, SN Brussels actualy operate 2 types of “146”
BAe 146-200
Avro RJ-85Both look exactly the same on the outside, so unless you can see the reg its impossible to tell which one it is 🙁
Three actually – there’s also the Avro RJ100, and I know they look the same, I was just saying which type it was, I know how difficult it can be to get the right one!
Very nice! The SNBA aircraft is actually an Avro RJ85, as it is the same one I flew on between Birmingham and Brussels back in March, and the crew said it was the RJ85.
Great photos, I like the touchdown one! That is part of the fun of travelling in a prop – you see the landing gear doing its stuff 😀
So I know nothing about football??
I had a relative who played professionally and was also a coach!!!
And you can’t argue that Beckham only scored a bloody penalty in the last world cup, and was bloody sent off in the one before that!!
And you can’t argue that England can win better without him than they can with him!
Just so long as he can still play footie who really cares what he wears off the field?
dave
He’s not even a brilliant footballer. Real Madrid have had their worst season in years just after he joins them England thrashed Iceland quite easily without Beckham. The only goal Beckham scored in the last world cup was a penalty, hardly set the tournament alight with this so called superior skill did he? In the world cup before that he was sent off.
As someone who lives on the coast, I love fish and eat it alot. I have had many different types. Last night I had a wonderful cod in batter with superb chips from our local chip ‘oil. My Mum cooks wonderful salmon, trout, tuna, snapper, tilapia, monkfish. In Belgium I have had plaice the proper way – on the bone with all the meat and not one of those pathetic scrags in breadcrumbs like you get all over Britain. I also like whiting.
In Hawaii and LA we had mahi-mahi, which is superb. I had some nameless fish in Australia which was grey and didn’t taste nice, and then they served up the same kind in New Zealand when we were there. In Finland I had perch. I like herring and sardines.
At one time I would have agreed that football was a man’s game (for girls to watch of course 😀 ) but then along came David Beckham, and the definition “man’s game” went right out of the window (what sort of “man” wears pink nail varnish, sarongs and girly hairbands?)
Comet = first ever passenger turbojet aircraft
Comet = very elegant-looking aircraft
Comet = suitably feminine-sounding name
Comet = very fascinating background history of an aircraft type
Comet = the name I also use on another aviation forum I go on very regularly, so it is the name I am best known by on aviation forums 😀
Briliant photos there!
