Well said Flood, I couldn’t have put it better myself. I agree with every word you wrote!
Minidoh – I can tell you with one word why I never support England – “Beckham”.
I am sick and bloody tired of seeing his bloody face, his bloody wife’s face and his bloody tattoo in our newspapers every day. I dread to think what overkill we would be subjected to if England won!!! You must admit that as far as the media is concerned, there is only one player in the England team, and that is Beckham. What about the other 10? Have the media forgotten that football is a team game in their sick perverted obsession with a jessie who wears girls hair bands, pink nail varnish, sarongs, perfume etc?
I hate the idea that people see an effeminate pr*ck like Beckham as a representation of England. And I hate it when they assume that all English women adore Beckham, because I certainly bloody don’t.
Give me Wesley Sonck anyday. (He is a player for Belgium!)
Seeing as Belgium did not qualify for this ( 🙁 ) I am supporting Spain, it would be nice to see them win a major trophy for once.
And I really hope France win against England 😀 😀
Great report, glad you liked the Aviation Experience, I loved it when I was there (and I can’t wait to go again 😀 ).
I quite like being near the engine in a prop, in the Fokker 50 it is fun to see the props being started up, and also to see the landing gear being raised and lowered. And props have an awesome descent – they always seem to nose dive, and that is a superb way to approach somewhere like London City! Never tried a prop at BHX.
I’m hoping this aircraft will be there alot more, especially next Tuesday because I’m going spotting to MAN (and I can’t wait!!)
Great shots, I just love the AN124. I have seen that aircraft in MAN a couple of times. Once it was just parked, and I got it on video from the departure lounge in T2, and the second time it was being loaded and I was passing on an EI aircraft after landing from DUB, so I didn’t get chance to take a photo. I am going to MAN next week, is it likely to be around next Tuesday?
psst, you can download mucis for free off the internet. 😉
Ah – yes I know 😀 But as I said, you can’t watch a video of Enrique Inglesias on an iPOD can you? I can with the video single I bought to play on my PC 😀
My Mum works in a shop where they sell iPODS, and she suggested that I have one, because I love to listen to music and at the moment we only have the CD players and the CD drive on my PC to listen to music with. But I wouldn’t really be bothered, it is hell of alot of hassle having to pay to download music from the internet just to listen to on something like that. It is much more fun to buy a CD which includes a video of the song – I can listen to that on my own CD player, and watch the video on my PC. And you can’t watch Enrique Inglesias on an iPOD can you 😀 😀 ?
I too will say “good luck” in your future career with Virgin, I have raised my Sloeber glass to you 😀 And I am so jealous – I would love to fly an aircraft instead of photographing and videoing them!
Thanks for that LBARules, I’ll print that reply off and take it with me when I go to MAN (will post a report on here about what I see, hope the weather will be good enough to get some good photos 😀 )
Yes – MAN does have the outdoor viewing park, but, in common with so many other things, the directions provided are only for people who are getting there by car!! I go to MAN on the train, I do not drive so how can I get to the viewing park? (I am going spotting to MAN in a couple of weeks and would love to see the Concorde and get a photo of it!)
My comparison between MAN and BHX was taking into account the fact that spotting at BHX is easily accessible for everyone and not just those who are going by car. I have had some great fun spotting at MAN, but all the best views for me have come from the cafe which has the big window overlooking the apron.
After September, I will be dropping MAN for BHX. We booked our flights from MAN-BRU last year, then in December we booked a day trip from BHX-BRU for March, and after my visit in March to BHX, I was totally hooked on the place! I spent hours in the Aviation Experience (something MAN could learn from – provide a spotting area where everyone can access it, and not just those with bloody cars!!) I cannot wait for November, and our holiday flights next year to BRU will be from BHX and not MAN.
Great photos. The top one is my favourite 😀 Just shows what a brilliant spotting airport BHX is!
BHX is wonderful , far better than MAN (the indoor spotting area is far better than that pathetic thing at the top of the car park in MAN, where you can’t get good photos because the whole thing is surrounded by a bloody wire mesh fence!)
I go to BHX again in November (2nd) for spotting, because I have another trip to Brussels on the 3rd to buy some beer for Christmas (and I cannot wait – seven weeks after my holiday in Brugge, I am flying back to beautiful Brussels 😀 )
When I am at BHX I make a point of hanging about to see the mid afternoon arrival and then departure of SNBA, that is the big one for me, as I am not a fan of the 777, they look too ordinary I think (though I did see one in BHX on 30th March).
We have a GMB office in Scarborough, which is a very interesting prospect!! The airline I am flying with this year is not mentioned in the list, but if my holiday was affected by these stupid bum holes, I have a very nice revenge to take 😀
Scarborough is a “poop scoop” zone (all dog owners have to clean up the sh*t from their dogs in a “poop scoop” bag). Now, where better to dump all those full poop scoop bags than through the letter box of the GMB on Northway, Scarborough, North Yorkshire?? If your holiday is ruined by these no good pieces of sh*t, let them have some real sh*t through their letter boxes!!!!
The people affected by the strike would far outnumber the strikers, so it is time that people took action against those who strike in this manner and showed them how sick and tired we are of them!!!
Send the sh*t your dog’s sh*t 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
