We should remember and honour the war dead, and provide whatever help is needed to the living. Too many ex-servicemen are on the poverty line, that is something we should not forget.

    Very amusing photos!

The nearest I’ve ever got to a Halloween type costume was going to a fancy dress do as a gremlin from the film “Gremlins”, and then the large ear (which is supposed to stick out at the side) kept flopping down across my face!

How can Dudley Moore play Arthur? He’s dead.

A film of this series would be superb though, I watched it on TV each time it was repeated, I loved it.

    Superb photos Andrew.

OK, the weather was bad, but the actual shots of the aircraft are superbly composed, I don’t see anything wrong with them.

Next monday, I’ll be flying from Brussels to Auckland, and will stay there for 10 days. I hope to bring you some pics, as i stop in Frankfurt, Singapore (only a 30 min stop there, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to take many pics), and on the way back in Bangkhok and Frankfurt again.

Btw, how would you rate LH (744), Air NZ (763), and Thai (743) ?

LH would be OK in a 744 (though another Belgian on-line friend of mine hates LH) and Thai I don’t know. Air New Zealand are unrateable because they are so bad.

The reason Concorde is going now is that

    1) BA need to save money, and Concorde is bleeding a lot of it away

    2) The want Concorde to go out when its still on top. So that we remember her as the great flying machine she is. Not for a rundown aircraft,.. which will happen if she conitnues flying and gets older. As mechanical issue will arise more and more, and the media will just destroy the image of Concorde.

Anyone who signs that petition is just plain ignorant.

I say its good she goes out while she is still the best.

    R.I.P. concorde, you deserve it.

Well said. I agree with every word you’ve written!!!

When on holiday in LA in 1998 we decided to go to the Chinese Theater to see a new film called “In God’s Hands” which was about surfers. That’s all I can really say about it because it was so indescribably awful, I’m not surprised it sank without trace!!

Successfully administering a kennel cough vaccine to my dog, he’s usually a real little #####, but on this occasion the stuff went in okay (it goes into the nose, some in each nostril, so you can imagine how dogs hate having that done, and how they bloody struggle!!)

While I feel sorry for the man’s injuries, I have to say that anyone who regards wild animals as accessories to perform tricks really asks for this sort of thing. Tigers are not there to perform, I object strongly to any kind of performing animal.

I hope the tiger will not be destroyed.
