Not just any Chinese drone, but the same which was shot down with propeller guards attached.
I’m not sure if it is the same Chinese drone or not, but I may be wrong on that.
But if these are Chinese drones, then your claim that buying such drones offers deniability is not a valid point, going by the publicity being offered to those police drones.
break!

Oh what bull crap. Half of the things in the world including many in India are Chinese manufactured. You can go and buy the same drone in India from the following.
Then please do point us to Chinese drones in service in India with any of the services, paramilitary or police forces.
Quiet hard to believe as police in neither India or Pakistan monitors the border areas, especially the disputed Line of Control. Also the range on theses kind of drones is not enough for it to have been flown in from a sufficiently long distance, this must be used by the forces protecting the border. Good idea to use a cheap commercial drone for deniability.
Well now the Chinese media too claim that the drone was one of Chinese make. And India has never and will never use Chinese drones.

IAF team leaves for Indo-UK bilateral exercise Indradhanush
The IAF aims to demonstrate its ability to project air power in transcontinental deployment of a task force comprising Su-30 MKI fighters, IL-78 tankers, C-17 strategic and C-130J tactical airlift aircraft in air operations.
In UK, the exercise will be conducted from three airbases. Su-30 MKI will be operating with the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) at Coningsby, the Transport aircraft will be hosted at Brize Norton and GARUD Special Forces will be hosted at Honington.
During the ten day long exercise, the Su-30MKI and Typhoon aircraft will be operating in mixed formations under various near-realistic scenarios.
The IL-78 and C-130J will also be inducted in missions along with fighter aircraft.
…
I hope there were no fatalities..but speaking of the higher attrition, perhaps the tempo of operations has gone up..
