Looks like they were 200 miles of course! Florennes-Woubrugge, thats a 4 hour drive. but to stay on topic henk, you must mentionion your most overrated WW2 bomber.BW Roger
Well at least you have something interesting in your garden. Will it be removed someday or not? If they can dig out those 1900 pounders out of that Stirling wreck, they for sure can remove your 2 uninvited guests (the 500 pounders) for 62 years. BW Roger
A friend of mine has a Mosquito in his garden. Unfortunatly, 2 meters under the surface and most probably still loaded with some nasty bombs. It is PZ174. Well this is OT, I know. And Mark, I am just as surprised :p BW Roger

I’ll go to AMS on Sunday afternoon. Staying at the observation deck. I’ll have a new lens to test. BW Roger

For me the Spitfire is the most overrated aircraft (ever). BW Roger
Jochen, can you make it also next saturday in stead of Sunday? Just a thought as Sunday is the end of the holidays which means a lot of extra traffic problems. It also depends on the weather. BW Roger
😀 Belgian Fougas have been retired already so many times before. Are you sure this time it is for real!!! 😀 BW Roger
In Spain, the aereas around Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia are the places to be. Between Alicante and Murcia there isn’t much. BW Roger
And here is another update. The first 2 1900 pounders were found. These are the heaviest bombs ever to be found in a WW2 aircraftwreck in Holland. So this ends the speculation, the Stirling was loaded with these big ones. BW Roger
I found it on the site mentioned on the other thread (the German lakes one), don’t know where it is, have to look again. BW Roger
Jochen, you know that for me they all look like a “vuilnisbak met vleugels”, especially this one as it is a plastic one. It was brought in from Twenthe AFB last week together with a Starfighter, Meteor, Streak. The Cat is the 212, restored at Valkenburg NAS and now at Soesterberg.Still working on Madrid by the way, thinking of leaving on June 30 in the evening. BW Roger
I have shooting without film in my camera on severall occasions. My biggest disaster was however during an air to air shoot with the CAF. While in a T6 I shot both the HE-111 and Sea Fury in the air that morning, 2 rolls on each. When back home severall weeks later I had two all black rolls that were never used and 2 rolls used double, with all the images on it worthless. So far with digital things are still problemless. BW Roger
Great Steve, thanks! BW Roger
