In a few months time, Minolta will be introducing a DSLR, the Maxxum 7. You can use your Minolta AF lenses on that one without any problems. It will be an 6mp one ( I believe). I went to a big photo exhibition here in Holland yesterday, and it was introduced there. As I am a Canon worker I didn’t pay the Minolta stand a lot of attention as I was “playing” with the Canon 1D mark II which wilol replace my 10D asap (anybody interested in a used 10D and a digi Eos-1n?).

As long as it is below 800 ISO it will be safe. However if you put it in your suitcase instead of handluggage, prepare for the worse! BW Roger

Another shot I took of it was in FlyPast some 11 months ago. It arrived on the 8th of March 2003, so I’ll guess it was in the May FP of last year. BW Roger

There are more original parts in the machine, and in the future replica parts will be replaced by original ones. Is the pic showing the machine at an ESSO tankstation, or is it seen in the museum with its prop turning in high speed? Hope it didn’t turn up in the news pages, it was intended for the OPS “funny pages pic” BW Roger

It is advertised here (in Holland) for around 4400 E. Which means that it will drop in price before the year is gone, and then I buy one. However, it is also possible that at the Photokina ( later this year), something higher (10MB), cheaper but slower(3bps) is introduced, so that is also an option. But for sure my 10D will be retired soon. BW Roger

On the 3rd Sunday of June, there is a small airshow at Sabadell, the smaller airfield of Barcelona ( 2 C990 Coronado’s of Spantax there (more or less)). As I am the entire month in the aerea, I am going there on Sundaymorning.

And on robbery, the “Plaza de Catalunya” and the “Ramblas” is very infamous for robbery. I was “under attack” twice, one time my entire photjacket was cutted open with a knive , the second time two girls tried to pick pocket me in the train. Both time i noticed it and nothing was stolen.
