    No Steve, the “old” Aviodome closed its doors early January 2003. The building will be scrapped, and the aircraft are now almost all moved to Lelystad where the new (15 times bigger) Aviodrome will be opened later this year. Bw Roger

    Because it was used by the KLM in their technical school. There was also a Harvard and a Tracker in full KLM liverey

    Just received my 10D back from a 4 week stay with Canon (it broke down after 400 shots (error 99)) and it performed well yesterday night. Its much better than the digital Eos-1n I have. Maybe the 10D is abit soft but after using some minute sharpenning its fine. What I don’t like is the time consuming RAW conversion. But maybe i am to much used to the Kodak software I normally use (and which is worthless for the 10). Some say Breezebrowser is an alternative. Anyone has experience with this ? BW Roger

    Well, my 10D can be picked up this afternoon after repairs. It was ready for severall weeks, but the email telling I could collect it never made it to my mailbox. have it just in time back to shoot the large aircraft of the Aviodrome (Neptune, severall Fokkers) that will leave AMS tonight. They will be put on large boats to make the transport. Especially the Neptune is a special one, this former Dutch navy bomber is in full KLm livery. Might post some pics tomorrow. BW Roger

    Both CVR and FDR of the ELAL machine were recovered the night of the crash. Don’t belief the story they weren’t. That story is just told to cover up things by the governements involved. BW Roger

    I’ll guess the problem was more the zoom/2x converter. Converters are not known for their quality, unless it is one of those very expensive ones (and even then). BW Roger

    No special reason. Just to put it on the bookshelf. Just the case is good enough for me. I also have a Super Connie window, a complete Transvia Holland Caravelle wingtip, a Caravelle steering wheel, part of a F28 forward wing and lots of (Super) Connie & DC-7 instruments & cabine parts ( now that I think, a stewardess is also still missing in the collection 😀 ) BW Roger

    Just give it a try Ren. If you have some more questions, just let me know. On the FlyPast (historic ) forum, there are a lot of 10D users, and there is a lot of digital photography knowledge there, so you can get things answered there too. BW Roger
