Which would be a good reason to be elsewhere?
Thts a good point π
/most embarassing model thread.
I think thats more for me lol π
Im no geunius when it comes to models. Ive only just started airbrushing and compared to the britmodeler and UKAR standard is pretty poor but im learning.
Well if we get some good interest maybe we could venture into group builds??

Well if you had done a tour of Suffolk, Bawdsey Radar ( don’t forget Shingle Street), Debach (from a distance) Orford Ness (c/w pubs), Martelsham for archeology, Bentwaters and Woodbridge from the fence, on return. Then through Essex and take your pick, Earls Colne with an O/S map? Or venture further a field to Bungay (or Hardwick??) or Norwich airport, sunshine everywhere today π . Even the railway and a cycle would have produced results (Pen Pusher?)
Not here from about lunchtime the clouds came in and weve had raing π
Ahh i was meaning to reply to this.
Still not sure what to do yet!
Lets just hope the weather picks up a wee bit
cheers

Managed to catch the best part of it and it was good stuff especily for the bbc. It wasnt to heavy and found a good balance. Well done π
Fantastic news!
Its lovely going to duxford and seeing it slowly progress each time you go you can see new bits that have been added and also really understand how an aircraft and how a blenheim goes together.
Id say its one of the best if not the best duxford exhibit!
All the best π

Well what a day we had. I dont think us lot stopped!
Eric brown’s talk was astonishing i think we could of all sat there till the early hours listening to him.
Sadly the brakes went wrong on the day and we couldnβt taxi or fly so its back to the hangar for 507 where she will be sorted out and hopefully a test flight can happen in the coming weeks. Nether the less we battled on and made the best of what we could with 2 engine runs.
Sadly i didnt have time to get any photos as i was busy but hopefully some of you did, unfortunately i saw the camera pointing at me a few times :S haha. Some nice shots are on UKAR already!
Dont forget the photographic completion for 2009, your photo doesnβt necessarily have to be taken in the air so last night was a good opportunity.

A big thanks to everyone who came and supported us and donated money to help keep this lovely aircraft flying. And a big thanks to eric! who seems very agile at a grand old age of 90
Next display is at Abingdon on the 3rd of may
See you there!
and when Spurs are on TV as well….
Why would you wanna see them? π
Just thought I would add the following from our local rag….
Firefighters and paramedics were scrambled to North Weald yesterday after a WW2 fighter plane crash landed. The Hawker Hurricane appeared to stall on touchdown sending the planes nose crashing into the ground and flipping its tail section into the air. The pilot emerged from the wreckage unscathed.
Gordonbennet! talk about beefing the story up.
Great jounalism ‘Harlow Star’
I read that too, laughable!

Hi all,
Just to remind you the open day is tomorrow.
starts at around 3 at north weald (squadron area), dont forget the market will be on but by 3 it quietens down unless you arrive earlier. Dont let the market marshals park you in the market car park tell them you want go to airfield side or squadron and they shall let you through. Also beware of pedestrians around the back of the market area.
Weathers looking cloudy but dry which is the main thing but we will still go ahead no matter what really.
Just out of interest who is thinking about coming?
See you there!
