I am pleased Mr T is ok…….that Hurricane is quite honestly one of the loveliest I have ‘seen’ in forumite’s piccies.

I personally feel Moggy did the right thing posting the piccie. It went someway to counter the heart flutters many probably got from Matt’s original title/post….I would STRONGLY suggest that in future people put ‘incident’, especially until facts are known?

Historic Aviation is a small world, many of us personally know pilots etc. Every time I see a post with key words…crash, accident etc I go OMG.

I have to agree with this. Maybe i did go abit over the top but as i heard it on national radio i thought flippin heck this must be bad.

Having worked on peters collection for 1 year or so i know him and the team quite well and was quite worried.
Havent heard that a hurricane had gone down at north weald worried me.

Next time i wont go in with all guns blazing but i didnt know the serverity of the accident

Glad all is well 🙂 and i shall hopefuly catch them saturday

    Oh Dear.

Jonesy has it right. They have just exposed themselves as, at the very least, sympathisers of the Islamic Fundamentalist movement and if our Intelligence Services do their job they will be investigated and monitored if necessary, maybe even infiltrated.

While it is an unsettling sight to see such a demonstration, it can be taken out of all proportion. It’s not the few who are out there waving placards and shouting abuse that need stopping. It is those who live quiet and respectable lives within our Communities and one day, instead of going to work or to college, strap a rucksack full of explosives to their backs with the intention of destroying themselves and as many others as they possibly can.

    Regards,

    kev35

    good point!

XH668, please check your facts before using words such as crash. PT’s Hurricane has banged its nose on the ground. Does that really constitute a crash?

well as i said im not sure what happerned as i only caught the last bit on the radio which is why i said “ignore me if im wrong” it could have been pretty serious

Theres been no real confirmed news as to what happerned yet.

Mods feel free to change what you like

But if I hold up a banner saying “muslim protestors go to hell” I’ll be arrested and charged PDQ……………… thats wrong.

    i have to agree

when i saw this i was totaly appaled and shocked 😡

what are they still doing here thats what i want to know

Im all for free speech but its verging on racism, weather your for war or not you cant condem the soldiers, they have a job to do like it or lump it and we all have to support tham as a county and a nation.

Good on those people who fought back

Effectively they are all the same. Remember, primarily you’ll be studying engineering; mathematics, mechanics and thermofluids so I hope these are your strong subjects.

Find out what the entry requirements are; that should give you an idea as to which university is most sought after.

Yes, ive noticed different universities ask for different grades so i can get a general idea of how good/bad they are.

Im doing 18 unit national diploma in mechanical engineering (well 19 units as ive asked to do further mechanical principles as well as further maths to open up more opportunities) and most universities are asking for distinction, distinction, merit or distinction, distinction, distinction for there masters courses.

Ive noticed a few do pilot studies as well so i mite be able to do my PPl along with the course

    We can.

    I have.

    And thanks!

Just to remind you we got a week to go, 507 will be flying at about 3 and the whole event will finish about 7 (see website for details)

The event will go ahead even if it is raining yet it will be taylored to the weather , the talk by eric brown should be interesting and its all for free.

Personaly id get there at lunch time and make the most of the squadron and soak up some of the atmosphere at north weald. No doubt there will be some warbird and civil activity if we are blessed with good wether.

    Any questions ask away.
    See you there!
