I received an email saying that they we’re shortly going over to a new board. Prehaps the email is in you’re spam/junk folder etc
Yes it was a personal message that got sent along with an email notification

About Comet-size, roughly. Perhaps a metre or two longer, depending on what the previous user leaves in place.;)
So not a small beast by any means.
I think most that end up in museum care, if not all will be kept outside.
I spose the RAFM will be offered and so will duxford. Weather they accept them is another matter.
How big is a nimrod?
I havent seen one in ages and even then it was quite a distance.
Id imagine victor/comet size??
If so space will be a major issue
There was lost of discussion about it on the board and for a few days a message did appear.
Cheers
Does anyoone go on the UKAR message forum? It has been down most of the week and I wondered if anyone had heard anything?
Ah they have a new board. The old one will be a read only affair now
The new one is http://forums.airshows.co.uk/ You will need to re-register tho
Oh, you may ask why I’m still here. Quite frankly the weather is absolutely naff, low black clouds, the odd spot of rain, very windy and bloody cold, hardly the stuff of airshows, could be a right crosswind on the runway too, he cracks a smile as he writes this and the sun comes out.
I’m still considering chucking the bike in the back of the car, parking up at Duxford village and cycling in, I could be surfing the stalls by 11:00, I’m not feeling very enthusiastic about it though, don’t know why, I’m only really interested in seeing the 2 Gladiators, but I wouldn’t attempt to fly such treasures in this travesty of airshow weather.
Same here bit of blue sky about and im getting annoyed i didnt go…still theres tomorrow so all is not lost. I hope it rains in away, seeing as i didnt go. 🙁
Looking at the BBC at lunch sunday is looking better. Saturday is ok but id say you are almost certain to encounter a shower.
Can you just run that by us again with a bit of detail?
Are we talking weather, aircraft serviceability or something else?
The BBC (who never lie) are running both days as wet and Sunday 4 deg C cooler than Saturday.
weather.
Well metcheck (i dont know how reliable they are) are giving sunday as rain morning/evening time and cloudy in the afternoon
