I think its fair to say that many museums have aircraft in their collection which fall outside their collecting policy.

Milliom are a new museum so to make the place more interesting I can understand the desire to get aircraft into the museum even if they are a mixed bunch.

Personally I think its great that they are collecting types that no other museums seem to have preserved. I dont recall anyone else preserving a Shorts 360. Well done chaps keep up the good work.

Yes its great but its well and good saving airframes but if you dont have the people, space and tools to do the jopb it can end up worse off

The best museums grow slowly over time!

If I should point my finger at anything, its the museums who are unable to take proper care of their exhibits (thankfully most do a good job). Seeing a static aircraft decline is not something we should be exposed to.

It a form of murder 😀 :diablo:

And i fear there are one or two museums who have bitten off more than what they can chew

Yes and no

there a loads of tigermoths and harvards but u see little of them at airshows, thats the difference i think.

You will always see 3-5 spits and mustangs, harvards 1 or 2, tiger moths well you dont see any to be honest
