Reading ‘Memorial Flight’ there is an article on the work at ARC. The LLA paid for some elevators to be flown from Canada.Â

Surely If the IWM didn’t want tanks etc they should be offered to the Tank Museum?
What about Monty’s caravans?
It does seem unlikely that there has been nothing reported in the national press.

I am mostly a ‘lurker’ on here these days. The ‘Stirling’ thread is checked with wide eyed amazement at the detail and effort being put into such a large project.
I  also follow Blue 2s threads on the other forum. But like the rest of us he as struggled between lockdowns to get anything done. It’s the first year in 30 that I didn’t get to Duxford or in 25 to Brooklands. or even seen a live Spit or Hurri!
Hopefully a ‘new normal’ at least during this year and maybe this forum!

It looks like this series has finished now. I thought they were well done with a variety of skills from enthusiastic to very skilled professionals. I shall email them to encourage them to do another series. I expect we could all suggest more projects?

If you search on You tube there are a number of talks by Shuttleworth pilots each on one particular aircraft. I have seen one on the Bleriot. I have (somewhere) a book on ‘Flying the Aircraft of the Shuttleworth Collection.’ It was published some years ago.

If you were following the ‘Plane Savers’ videos on you tube last year, the DC3 the ‘Night Fright crew were stripping in Canada was an aircraft that had crash landed and was also used for parts by the ‘Plane Savers’ team. So they posted some videos on there too!
